bbk 188 Posted October 21, 2010 Wow, awesome job, and a thanks to you and Bry@n. So, 8 lanes, 32 folk... maybe more if we have people rotating from behind the line. Jeez, we just need a bbq or slow cooker and we're set.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted October 21, 2010 Just to let you guys know, the times are from 8:30 to 11:30. So get there early! for the northern guys, are we carepooling? maybe meet up at BH parking lot or something?

totalabuse 27 Posted October 21, 2010 Update! I called today to reserve some lanes for the group. I needed a member to reserve a time so I got in touch with Bry@n and he'll let me know the deal. It seems that we will have the first 3 hours with 8 lanes and after that it's up in the air. It all depends on how crowded it gets. Well done!
StephanieSeven 70 Posted October 21, 2010 Just to let you guys know, the times are from 8:30 to 11:30. So get there early! Oh thank god. So I don't have to be there at 7:45a?

bry@n 195 Posted October 21, 2010 Okay, here's the deal. we are reserved for 8 lanes. We must have a member on the rifle range that is responsible for EVERYONE!!! They want to deal with one member, this way they aren't chasing people around. They just go to one guy and go from there. Being I plan on shooting Skeet (trap fields are closed and won't be up for the 30th)and can't be in two places once, I need somebody to be "that" guy. Ray, thanks for organizing the event bud. StephanieSeven 70 Posted October 21, 2010 after the rifle range are we going to spill over to the skeet and trap shooting ? I'll probably spill over there before you all are done on the rifle range. I don't plan to shoot on the rifle range. Not a fan.

StephanieSeven 70 Posted October 21, 2010 Trap Oh... the easy version of skeet. Got ya. Skeet made me the captain of team CSS.

StephanieSeven 70 Posted October 21, 2010 He is now that your gonna be on the skeet range. Lol. J/k lol. hey. i don't want to hear any "oh my ankle" nonsense. you can sit on the bench and hit the button when someone yells "pull"
bry@n 195 Posted October 21, 2010 I'm shooting. I just can't be running around. In case you missed it, I have fat guy syndrome. This causes excess wear on the ankle. If we're not running, I'm in.
kenw 293 Posted October 21, 2010 I've never shot skeet. Been meaning to try it, but the skeet shooters at Sparta are really hardcore, and I don't really want to slow down their game with my newbieness. ETA: Did we ever find out if draw from holster is okay at Dix??

kenw 293 Posted October 21, 2010 I also have 3 Cherry Ridge target stands (not self-supporting), but only 1 set of feet. I'll probably toss all of it in the van.
StephanieSeven 70 Posted October 21, 2010 ETA: Did we ever find out if draw from holster is okay at Dix?? I'm not positive but I know I've seen guys with their weapons holstered. Not sure you're allowed to during cease fires though. Can give them a shout. 609-562-4676

Can give them a shout. 609-562-4676 I may just bring them and get the answer on site. Anyone bringing a shot timer to play with? I've been thinking about getting one, but it hasn't happened yet. It's not at the top of the list right now.
67gtonut 847 Posted October 21, 2010 I just called..... Yes holster draw is allowed. Typical 3 step draw is allowed, same as a USPSA type draw..... NO quickdraw....
