illy 1 Posted March 1, 2013 I have permit to use and have only been looking at that don't exceed 10 round capacity. But that are only so many choices. So, what do you guys think about the likelihood of that magazine limit passing/not getting vetoed? I really would prefer a standard capacity gun, but don't want to find myself with a couple of "illegal/evil" mags down the line.
H.M. Murdock 0 Posted March 1, 2013 There is much already written on this subject. You don't even have to search, just scroll thru recent threads If you're making your decision based on speculation then I would go with pinned 0 round magazines (as you'll need something to override the magazine disconnect on many pistols). There will eventually be another left Governor in NJ again along with another mass murder for the left legislature to hook on to. P.S. you already can't have standard capacity mags in many common handguns in NJ -- we already have mag capacity limited to 15 rounds
Jcddefreese 0 Posted March 1, 2013 Personally, I am going to buy the firearm I want that complies with current law. There are proposals to limit mags to 10, 7 and 5 rounds. Who know what may happen. If the law changes, folks who do compliance work will be very busy.
n4p226r 105 Posted March 1, 2013 I think there are tons of guns that are sub 10rds I want. My next two purchases may fall into that category. But I'd buy based on current laws
TooBigToFit 2 Posted March 1, 2013 Go for 15. You can always pin them, or sell them (especially at the current market prices), and it gives you extra motivation to try and stop the bill.

mcbethr 42 Posted March 1, 2013 Or... just buy a revolver or a 1911...
Frank Rizzo 59 Posted March 1, 2013 I ran into same dillema when purchasing spare mags recently. I ended up getting the 10+ mags, worse case scenario I have to get 'em pinned, not a big deal. Get the 15rd...
JustJoe 0 Posted March 1, 2013 Buy the gun you like with whatever magazines come with it. Worry about magazine size if and when the law passes.
Howard 538 Posted March 1, 2013 Buying a gun based on magazine size is sort of like buying a car based on what OEM tires come with it. You can always change either one and they are a small part of the total cost. Buy the one you like and will meet your needs.
jdubsss 0 Posted March 1, 2013 I just bought a 15 round 9mm and want to buy a 10 round capacity 45 Don't buy a 10 round 9mm or something of the sort (unless it's a subcompact) because of the potential for a ban. We don't know if there's grandfatherig or anything of that sort yet and at the end they can all be veto'd by Christie. If we do get a magazine ban just "get rid of them"
Pythagoras 2 Posted March 1, 2013 I've been hankering for a 1911 for a while and decided the new legislation is the universe's way of telling me to finally jump on it. It helped to have a spare permit sitting around.
ryan_j 0 Posted March 2, 2013 Revolvers aren't bad. Single action for me is more accurate than double action or semi auto. I actually like the cowboy guns.

quikz 34 Posted March 3, 2013 WHY would anyone 'pre-comply'. When no laws even exists??? Forget the speculation. Damn the speculation. Damn the shady incrementalist, closet socialist radicals in NJ. Buy a darn 15+1 standard cap pistol now. NJ is a self deluded non-mainstream little village compared to the rest of the entire country. Dont let their blind left wing incrementalism reduction of ALL individual liberties brain wash you.
