My Rant of the day on mag limits bill A2006/S993

Recommended Posts

The Democrats in our district actually go into the NURSING HOMES to get out the vote among the elderly. They're so entrenched in NJ it isn't funny.

I see nothing wrong with that. People in nursing homes typically can't get to the polling station, so vote by mail is the way to go. You can't make people vote one way of the other. If you say that they only give the forms to one party then that would be a problem.

Actually what we all need to do is register as Democrats and then vote in the Democrat primary for a loser candidate...

Problem I see with that is that the Dems seem to has less infighting then the Republicans.

So on the primary ballots they typically just have the same number of names as the amount you can choose. Republicans seem to always have several choices for each position.

So when it comes down to choose 2 for Senate, the dems will typically only have 2 names. The republicans will have several columns of 2 names to choose from.

You will see in a couple of weeks when your sample ballot arrives in the mail.

The democrats will vote for whoever is on the ballot for their party, just like republicans do.

Which party created things like:

Welfare, food stamps, social security, extend unemployment out to 2 years.

And call all these socialistic programs "Entitlements"

So if I was entitled to sit at home all day in my welfare apartment collecting govt money, making more then then minimum wage job I'm qualified for, who do you think I'm going to vote for?

Not someone who may end that gravy train.

You need to get more people with your views out to vote. That is how to win.

Less then half registered voters vote in primaries and non presidential elections.

Look at the turnout in NJ for the last presidential election

http://www.state.nj.us/state/elections/2012-results/2012-general-election-turnout.pdf

1 out of 3 people did not vote and could not care less about who is running our country.

Talk to everyone you know, get them to vote. Vote by mail, there are no excuses.

This really ticked me off when my grandmother was in a nursing home and the "nurses" would tell her "to vote for Obama, he's a great guy, make sure you remember to vote for Obama". After a few nurses said that to her, my mom complained and they did nothing about it. By the time we made the decision to move her, she had to go to the hospital then went downhill shortly after.

These people are sick! Taking advantage of elderly sick people and their families. They're disingenuous to the core. That's one reason we're losing, because we have a conscience and will not compromise on morals and values. True evil takes advantage of that, but I for one believe, in the end evil LOSES!

From what I've been told, they tell them who to vote for.

I will not be surprised if he signs it.  He supported the AWB and 10 round magazines in 1994 and if he thinks that he can get away with it, or if he's given up on running for president, he'll sign it.  He is not a supporter of ours unless it impedes his climb.  If he thinks he can weather Bridgegate then I bet he'll think he can weather this.

Time to VETO A2006 / S993 which are pointless, arbitrary and represent illegal takings and ex post facto laws.

Call the Govs office and tell them you oppose these bills and demand a Veto.  They are registering calls but not names or phone numbers, which is screwed up.

The only right thing for CC to do is to veto this immediately, not waiting till the end of 45-day period.

I don't see how it would serve him one way or another to wait,  unless he's still gathering sentiment data or assessing his chances for a national run. I see the MSM is keeping the "scandal pressure" up on him with the pension thing. The longer he waits, the more the MSM can pressure him with these kinds of things in an attempt to influence his decision on this, as well as national things...

Does anyone know the phone number to call in opposition to this? What do I tell them?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

governor's office 609-292-6000 Just call and tell them you are against S993 the 10 round magazine bill.  They don't (actually won't) take your name or number, they claim they are just tallying calls.  Call early and call often :)

Sent in my email and made my call.  I could hardly get the words out to express my request for a veto of A2006/S993 when the secretary jumped in and said she knew what bill I was calling about and would note my position.  We need to keep sounding the drumbeat.
