Get use to this... as urban zones increase in population gun owners in more rural areas will lose more rights... Rural voters are not as active.... IMO pa will be nj in a few years. It happened in NY.

Well, as long as you are not in a vehicle or in Philly you can Open Carry. So you could lock it up in the car and then open carry once you leave your car outside of Philly. After further review of the handgunlaw.us site it would appear that a TX non-res would be another way to go. I believe you have to take the class in TX. I think they have recently relaxed the class requirements, but I also believe it is still around two days to complete.

Mipafox can confirm this, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to "lock it up in the car" if you have any valid CCW. You can leave it on your hip while in a car if you have the CCW.

The point is that if you were relying on a UT permit to do this, it no longer applies. Therefore you need to disarm in a vehicle.

If this is true Anthony, could you look into possible Texas non resident CCW classes here in Jersey? I don't know if this is even possible. But I would definitely take the class here rather than visit Texas if I didn't have to.

Not true. If you can legally possess you can open carry except in a city of the first class (i.e. Philly)
