Activity!! Capt. McBride of the Stratford PD stopped by the property a little while ago. He was gathering information on the abandoned vehicles on the property. He told me he has NEVER had to seize a vehicle before, so this is a learning process for him. Fair enough. He gonna learn TODAY! He asked me to send him all the pics I have of the property, and the vehicles. I also sent him the link to NJ MVS with the procedure to seize abandoned vehicles on private property. I’m a helper!! He also had some encouraging things to say about the townships action plans. Apparently this is gaining MORE traction. Also, he noted that more neighbors have jumped in on this property, and several others like it in Stratford.

Just pull the stock off. I have no intention of taking my guns to another state. AZ is 13 times the size of NJ. Where am I going to go?

I may just have to drop by her office in Parsippany (with an appointment, of course) and politely ask her about that. I'll be sure to report back here.

You may find this post interesting. Scroll down and view the video on post #2. Also this quote from further down: "Some pistols are designed so the slide stop can be used as a release, the 1911 is a prime example. If you look at the slide stop or release on a 1911, especially the original design and not one of the custom levers, it is clearly designed to push DOWN and there is virtually no attempt to help the shooter push it up. The M&P is exactly the opposite, it is designed to push UP, not down, and the ambidextrous design is designed so you can push it up from either side, no attempt at all is made to make it easier to push down. In some of the owner's manuals, they vary somewhat, it says to pull the side to the rear, then push the slide stop down to unlock it, the key point there is that they tell you to pull the slide to the rear first, thus taking all the strain off the release."

BJJ + yoga is fantastic for older individuals with joint/flexibility issues. Building core strength and increasing flexibility is life changing as age progresses

Spoke with a mfr yesterday and this may all be trivial in the near future as ATF is really looking at braces and reclassifying to SBR, as mentioned earlier in the thread. Trying to get confirmation from a major mfr who has much closer ear to the ATF. So if you are on the fence, go buy one, shoot it, enjoy it, then STFU. =P

Nope. SOLGW's version comes standard with the A5 tube and 11.5" barrel.

We are not really arguing over whether the guns are legal but having discussion on home builds. =)

I'd pump the brakes, some people on other forums dug into this post and can't find it, so they think it's either fake or he's deleted it. Supposedly he's also been saying this for years, yet here we are with braces still legal. Also, just because Obama was a failure doesn't mean he wasn't trying. Attempt to ban green tips, villainization of legal gun owners after high profile events, etc. Politicians all suck.

And that's one of the reasons why I voted for you last time, and will do so again this time.

The sad fact is that most residents of the state are against firearm ownership and Conceal carry. Many residents are scared to death of guns. other states down in the south firearms have been in families for generations and accepted. NJ is a lost cause when it comes to the 2nd amendment. That's why in the year 2019 we're now down to 10 rounds. Unless the Federal government steps in you'll never see Conceal Carry here.

The meeting went well. I actually didn’t expect the floor to be opened up to the residents at this meeting...but I took the floor and spoke off the cuff. I was polite and professional. I spoke of my concerns about the property, and apparently opened a LOT of eyes to the town council. They were in disbelief that there is still an active electric line to the house. Personally, I can’t see HOW they didn’t notice the condition of the property before... After the meeting, both the mayor and the town clerk (who’s ass I chewed and spit out the other day), spoke with me, and she updated me about what the township is doing. She said that the county health inspector visited the property and the township (yep, cause I called them). The township boarded up the broken window. Positive. They have called AC Electric for immediate termination of electric service to the house. Should happen this week. Positive. They have asked the contractors who maintain the grass for costs to remove all debris from the back yard. Positive. They have contacted MVS for procedures to remove the abandoned vehicles. I found out through a basic internet search that the town can seize the vehicles, but has to auction the vehicles at public auction. They (supposedly) are taking steps to do this. Positive. The town solicitor has contacted the attorney for the bank taking possession of the house to inquire about timeline to auction, or otherwise dispose of this property. Somewhat positive. Town clerk assured me she will personally follow up with me about all these action issues within a week. Positive. She also tells me that the code enforcement officer has been instructed to pay the property a visit. I told her I’d like a list of the code infractions he writes. She said that may not be possible to give me, but would find out. Mostly positive. We shall see if they follow up, but overall, I see this as a win. I will NOT quit hammering on them, until this is resolved. I’m a stubborn redneck. A funny story..... There was a FB live feed of the meeting, being filmed by someone I am faintly acquainted with via the Stratford Republican Club, She knows of my crusade, and knows I’m pretty fired up about it. When I stood up and gave my name and address, you hear her exclaim on the video, “ oh boy...here we go” !! Mrs Tex didn’t go to the meeting, but she watched the FB live feed, and told me about it when I came home! LMFAO!!!

Awesome. Can’t wait for this one. I’m very illiterate with computers. Never needed them in farming. My wife does that stuff. But stilll. I use my phone to get emails and respond. Whats the mayor. Like 114 years old. What a useless asswipe. And if thats the case. Why does he have an email address? Sounds like the same bs in my twsp. Lies and incompetence.

Notice how i typed "for this case". NY realized how screwed up the law was that they tried the "we were just kidding" strategy and modified it. Their defense is "case is moot because law doesn't say that any more" which by not dismissing, SCOTUS said nah that doesn't fly. So they now have to defend a law they acknowledged was flawed. I can't even see arguments being heard. If ever there was a case for summary decision, this is it. Other than this case, like you, I question any decision where a group of people get to make shit up and say its law. Just because.

Fact is, we don't know that for sure, but feel free to volunteer Unfortunately, the question if a law is being broken or not, depends on which side of the table you are on

If you are going to build your own please don't post that fact on a public forum. You are just giving the state the finger even if what you end up building is technically legal. It is shit like this that will invite attention and encourage legislation . You will ruin it for the rest of us. Why? because legislators will conclude that they cannot control the non-NFA category, especially if one is confiscated and/or ends up slightly different from the mold. You can bet your ass that the State knows who the licensed manufacturers are. You are just drawing attention to yourself.

The vast majority of Americans have lost, or better yet have not been taught how this nation came to be and why, and the reason that our American constitution emphasizes the right to bear arms. It is our birthright. It is how we came to be. It took firearms, bloodshed, tremendous suffering, untold hardship and massive death to form America. It was a rebellion against a tyrannical government. Be prepared, patriot brothers.
