MidwestPX 172 Posted December 9, 2014 It's a Mega Monolithic Upper. They don't make them like that anymore. Yep. It's a damn shame too. The new Megalithic uppers are nice but there's some nostalgic value to the original MTS upper for me.

MidwestPX 172 Posted January 6, 2015 First build of the new year Comes in at 11lbs 8.1oz with a 20rd mag of 155gr AMAX. This will be my stomping around carbine, particularly at night while I hunt mountain lions.

Bushmaster1313 61 Posted January 11, 2015 Carbon fiber out of the box hand guard on a DPMS 243 Lite Hunter. This is one of the newer ones that come with the carbon fiber hand guard and a Hogue grip. The A2 stock is disappointing and will eventually be be replaced with a fixed Ace skeleton stock. Notice the official sticker certifying this as a New Jersey legal Non-Assault Weapon. louu 399 Posted January 11, 2015 Yeah the sticker definitely makes it less scary lol.

Bushmaster1313 61 Posted January 11, 2015 To me, the A2 is big, uncomfortable, hard on the shoulder, and the metal on the butt plate and sling loop will scratch other guns in safe -- and it's ugly.
