WOW, caught the Dont be a victim show, didnt realise its a series of shows linked together about self defence/right to carry. It was VERY well done in my opinion. Much of it is preaching to the choir for us but anyone thats not one of us will get a good look at a very well put together piece delivered in a tastfull and nearly indisutable way. They achieved this by using case studies and interviewing the actual victems. This did a very good job at putting anyone in the position of sympathising with a victem in a helpless situation. This contrasts strongly of course with those that were in similer situation but were armed.....

One of the section of the shows had very good coverage of the use of tactical lights.

Best Defense: Survival - http://www.outdoorchannel.com/Shows/Bes ... vival.aspx

Second season is turning out to be decent.. better than the first in my opinion.

Man, Woman, Wild - http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/man-woman-wild/

I actually find both of them annoying, but, it's not a half bad show. Kind of like Dual Survival, but with a chick that whines a lot.

Tactical Arms - http://www.thesportsmanchannel.com/prog ... php?ID=315

Larry Vickers. 'Nuff said.

Did you see the episode when he was point shooting? Dude, a 1ft by 1ft steel plate at 10yards rapid fire! And he just pointed the Glock and squeezed off like 10 rounds.

New show on Discovery that starts next week, August 18 @ 2200: http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/surviving-the-cut/

From the "About":

With extraordinary, unprecedented access, Surviving the Cut takes viewers into the intense world of military elite forces training. From divers and snipers to para-rescue men and bomb specialists, the elite and how they earn a place in the coveted units are the focus in this compelling all new series.

From the most competitive and brutal underwater training tests in the US Army Special Forces Underwater Operations Course to the unforgiving, torturous demands of Army Rangers training, Surviving the Cut is a full throttle, action-packed journey into the backbreaking hell that is military training.

"No other military show has ever taken such a genuine, honest look at the people behind the uniform. Surviving the Cut will inspire and captivate viewers by showing them a truly poignant glimpse of the extreme physical and mental strength required throughout military training," said Clark Bunting, President and General Manager of Discovery Channel and President of Science Channel.

Surviving the Cut shares the personal quest of men committed to making it into the military's most coveted and elite units including Special Forces Divers, Marine Recon, Air Force Pararescue, Navy EOD, Marine Snipers, and Army Rangers. Take an up close and personal look inside the candidates' emotional journeys as they overcome the ruthless minefields of physical and psychological hurdles to become the best of the best.

Looks like it'll be interesting as it'll cover all services, and a wide range of operators. Hooah!

AMC slated the premiere date of its newest original series The Walking Dead for October 31 at 10p. The series, based on the comic book penned by Robert Kirkman, will launch on Halloween with a 90m episode while subsequent episodes, airing on Sunday nights, will each be an hour-long. The Walking Dead is premiering during the network's annual Fearfest, a marathon of thriller and horror films in its 14th year. Andrew Lincoln heads the cast of The Walking Dead playing police officer Rick Grimes who leads a group of survivors following a zombie apocalypse. This series also marks AMC's first wholly-owned original series. A four-and-half minute trailer of The Walking Dead can be seen at www.amctv.com .

On a related note, Fox International Channels is introducing The Walking Dead globally in 120 countries in 33 languages the first week in November following AMC's debut on October 31. Fox International Channels is launching The Walking Dead much like a theatrical film release which will be viewed in 250 million households for its premiere.
