forayzor 1 Posted March 28, 2012 To be honest I haven't even shot it yet, it feels good practicing maneuvers with it. I'm taking a class with No Games Gear on 4/21 I'll update with how it ran and any changes I want to make after the class

Sandy 44 Posted April 10, 2012 Mossberg 500. It started life as a clay destroyer and has become a zombie slayer. How does it handle? I was thinking of a tactical shotgun. Or a CX 4 Storm . Betwixt Between.

Betwixt Between. http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/34690-wts-hogue-tamer-pistol-grip-for-mossberg-500590-shotgun/ ordered this: http://www.shockwavetechnologies.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=50 The angle is too steep for any kind of "extended shooting". I've tried a few pistol grips and the shockwave grip's angle is much more comfortable. If your looking for a decent pump shotgun for HD, try this one: http://www.mossberg.com/images/Mossberg_Guns/930/New/50411.jpg
Sandy 44 Posted April 10, 2012 My issue is trigger reach. I need like 10 or 12 inch trigger pull . The only one I see with that kind of reach is the 505 youth or the Little Slugster lol

Sandy 44 Posted April 11, 2012 I'll just respond with a link to an old pic http://njgunforums.c...post__p__418011 Link to product: http://www.midwayusa...12-gauge-rubber So that is a youth stock you put on there? Thanks for posting
Caine 147 Posted April 11, 2012 It's not a youth stock by name... but it has about a 12" length of pull, which is similar to some youth stocks. Speedfeed also makes a stock which they call a youth stock, but is a hair longer than the Hogue. And I just realized I linked to the wrong product in my previous post This is the correct product: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/169170/hogue-overmolded-stock-mossberg-500-12-length-of-pull-rubber-black And here's the Speedfeed youth stock for various shotguns: http://www.midwayusa.com/find?userSearchQuery=speedfeed+youth+stock
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted April 11, 2012 I'm glad is "Ray-Ray approved"! You probably want big-dot or something more prominent. Big dot would be perfect, but a bead would suffice. It's a shotgun, so it's range limited so no need for ghost rings or even 3 dot sights.
this_is_nascar 162 Posted April 12, 2012 Big dot would be perfect, but a bead would suffice. It's a shotgun, so it's range limited so no need for ghost rings or even 3 dot sights. I actually like the ghost ring sights on my 870, so much that I put them on my 10/22 as well. Understood that everyone feels differently about them. I have them on my 590A1 as well, I just think it's not really needed. But they work good.

Ray Ray 3,566 Posted April 12, 2012 esp 50-yard slug. I still think a bead front sight will do it at 50 yards. 100? no
