what is your favorite stock for your AR? the gun i'm looking at ships standard with Vltor iMod but with all the new magpul offerings i'm wondering if i should ask for something different.

I am partial to the Ace Skeleton stock. looks great, functions well, balances out the rifle quite well.

I like the magpul MOE stock. Not worth spending a bunch of money on a stock that's just going to be pinned anyway. The MOE looks good and is light.

Magpul MOE for simplicity, Magpul ACS for utility and ergo's (locks tight no wiggle, nice cheek-weld/comfort)

I have the RRA operator A2 stock that came with my rifle. I must say it is a very nice non-adjustable stock and has sealed compartments for batteries or anything else that will fit.

In the remote instance that the rifle requires "mortaring" to clear a stuck case How many of these stocks do you thing will hold up?

 

Just a thought...Esspecially with these clapsible pinned stocks we are required to have. I'm kind of leaning toward an Ace Skeleton for the next build.

Funny you mention that.. on my newphews build I had a case get stuck in the chamber.. (2 nd round) last Friday.

 

That was with the MagPul MOE.. (pinned)

 

Was able to mortor the BCG back.. but alas the cartridge lost the rim.. so had to goto the cleaning rod anyway.

 

I think the pinning of it helped keep it from moving honestly.
