In my short tenure on NJGF that has got to be the meanest/prettiest? AR's I have yet seen.....even if I have no idea exactly what I'm looking at. Very nice Sir.

how is it using the optic w/ the FSB?

That is my delema. Low-pro GB w/ Rail & front flip sight, or FSB.

Good looking AR

doesn't bother me in the slightest.. my AK has real time co-witness so I am used to it.. I am sure it would be an issue..

thanks! yes the trigger guard is part of it.. supposedly the lower is essentially the same as the Magpul lower..

http://www.guns.com/ar15com-resurrects-magpuls-billet-ar-lower-receiver.html

no rounds through it yet.. but will certainly give range report once I do..

even though there are "better" compensator out there.. I am pretty sure with the mild round.. mid length gas system.. it will probably be plenty manageable.. but will definitely let you guys know how it works out..

the idea was a simple light weight run and gun type rifle..

Beautiful. But as I said on facebook, the barrel is too long :p

I read through the parts list twice and didn't see it....what LPK did you use?

it is the "mix match what was laying around" parts kit.. LOL trigger seems smooth enough.. but wont know till I get some time running the gun.. if it is smooth and clean it will stay.. any issues and that would be the one other upgrade.. but besides that and possibly a magnifier.. I dont think this will see any other parts till SBR becomes a reality..

Looks really nice. I'm on the waiting list for that upper. Does it have a bayo lug?

mine does yes.. but that gun is in PA.. collapsible stock and 30 round mag.. NOT NJ legal..

have not weighed it.. but will check it out when I get a chance..

Looks great, you'll like how well the Dynacomp works (well at least I do) I got the same upper back in May and I love it. Any chance you know what it weighs? Mine is 7lbs, unloaded w/ a PA micro dot.

about 8.5lbs complete with optic.. light.. the whole deal.. unloaded..

    • If you’re going to VA, buy 2 radios.  Program one for here and one for there.  If you guys are buying Baofeng radios do yourself a favor and get a tactical antenna for it,it’ll extend your reach.
    • Both our memories are a bit lacking. 3 bystanders were hit by NYPD bullets and 6 were hit by fragments at the Empire State Building shooting. The bullets later were determined to have passed through the bad guy as I said. He was not a big guy. The police fired 16 rds and 7 hit the bad guy.  Spray and pray?  I think not.  These officers fired until the threat was stopped and everyone is moving. Have you ever tried to hit a moving target whilst you're moving.  If you watch the video from where the police encounter him, the BG draws his gun from his bag, NYPD guys shoot, and the BG hit the ground is about 2 or 3 seconds.  The closest officer is maybe 12 feet or less.  The closest cover are those concrete flower pots.  If the officers chose to take cover before drawing the BG would have had a chance to shoot at least one officer. Know your target and beyond?  Agree 100%.  However, this by the Empire State Building at 9 am during the week.  There are bystanders and traffic in every direction.  The officers had a choice of doing what they did or letting the BG shoot them with his 1911 and shoot someone else. I think they made the right choice and the same one I would have made.  The officers exercised the best option in protecting themselves and the public. The first video is the police shooting.  The second is more detailed and gives you a lot of background information on the shooter. One thing this shows is if NYPD had to use fmj undoubtedly more bystanders would have been wounded perhaps killed.  NJ's hollowpoint law. only creates more danger to the public.
