Picked new revolver up today!

Recommended Posts

The 625 is my favorite gun, I absolutely love mine. I've been shooting it in USPSA for a while now.

Here is mine, setup for competition with a slick trigger job & bobbed hammer 5" version

Get yourself some quality moonclips - mooncliptool.com / tkcustom.com ( more expensive ) are good.

say if you ever try the rubber moon clips, let us know how it holds up to wear

They are OK for the range. I wouldn't trust them with my life or in a steel match. With my mooncliptool.com loader, I can load a steel clipabout as fast as the plastic. Unloading takes longer though.

Shoots .45 acp., and .45 gap.

...and .45 Auto Rim. Welcome to the moonclip club.

Here is one of the best tools for loading the moon clips...

And here is what you need to unload them easily...

Ranch Products is your best source for moon clips, but they are old school - no ordering on-line, you actually have to call them and talk to a human being - horrors.

I have four moon clip revolvers and they are great.

I assume you are talking about Rimz moon clips. They are OK for the range, but not for competition or hard use. Once you have the right tools to moon and demoon the metal clips are no more trouble than the polymer ones.

Not 'til I get my 625 back, although I just had a .100" FO front sight installed on the 646. I'm game.

He was salavating over mine and caved in. Lol

I have wanted one for a while and I think this thread, as well as yours and Bob's earlier post have pushed me over the edge. Think I will be looking very shortly. lol

Couldn't let Alec get too much of an edge. He already has that spring-loaded thing-a-majig. Mine will have a slightly heavier pull since I want it to light-off factory ammo.
