notmetoo 41 Posted November 6, 2012 Don't care what party you affiliate with, don't care who you are voting for. Voting is more than a right we have bestowed upon us, it is an obligation, one of the few, of U.S. citizenship. So get off your lazy ass and vote today. I'm AndyB and I approve this message. TK421 2 Posted November 6, 2012 This mentality to just go out and vote is insane. Go out and educate yourself before you vote. Too many stupid people vote, they know every Dancing with the Stars and American Idol winner and runner up from every season but can't articulate a single legitimate reson for voting for or against a candidate. It is like telling someone to just go out and buy a gun because it is your right, don't bother to learn how to properly and safely handle it, just go buy one because it is your right. Both may be your right but both are equally dangerous if not properly educated. Remember for every well informed voter there is an ignorant and uninformed voter ready to cancel out your vote. Now go out and vote for the least sucky candidate. ;-)
liquidskin 3 Posted November 6, 2012 Glad to have gotten my vote in a few weeks ago using the Vote By Mail system. I'd happily pay the two stamps again for the convenience of not having to go to the polling place. I hope voting via Internet becomes more prevalent within the next few years, would certainly make more people get involved. Midwest 28 Posted November 6, 2012 If you are interested how we vote here in KY. Here in KY an ID is required to vote (drivers license or ss card or I think birth certificate) and it is a combination of paper and electronic voting. My local voting place is the Firehouse. You get a paper and fill in with a black pen a box next to your candidate that you vote for, there are spaces for the, party lines (vote all rep or dem ), individual spaces for the candidates, spaces for the 'write ins', ballot initiatives and so on. When you are done, you go to this machine (looks like a copier/fax) , feed your ballot in (like you would a fax machine or printer) and when the American Flag comes up on the screen ..your vote is counted. And you get one of those 'I voted' stickers. KY polling places runs from 6 am to 6 pm. KY has its strange laws, one of them is that alcohol can't be sold while polls are open. The Kroger supermarket has the beer section roped off during this period. I think South Carolina is like this too. http://www.wtvq.com/...4Vnie48W-w.cspx

JrzyGuy30 0 Posted November 6, 2012 To bad my wife and I cancelled each other out. I refused to marry someone that didn't see me eye to eye on politics. Luckily she (wife) was hot and saw my political view.. so it was a wrap.
dgstinner 11 Posted November 6, 2012 Can't think of a single reason to vote today. Obama is gonna win NJ so what's the big deal? If you vote, he may not win NJ. I wouldn't be surprised to see NJ vote Republican for the first time since 1988.
