Well, recently found out my boat was a total loss from superstorm sandy.

Floated away with the dock.

 

Sucks that ALL of my guns were on it and are now lost.

 

Well, I enjoyed them while I had them

All my guns were stolen by rabid gorillas! and can you believe the insurance company calls that an "act of god"? what a bunch of crooks.

Our 35 foot house boat floated across route 9 and wound up in the parking lot of the ice cream/pizza shot after taking out a Caddilac Escalade.

 

The Grady White stayed attached to it's trailer and wound up in some trees. Neither took any significant damage.

 

I do recall that there were some "foreign" boats in our Marina. One of them wound up on top of the piling for the Parkway expansion. It's amazing where some of the boats wound up.

 

As for the guns...it sounds like an opportunity to me. It's called plausible deniability

I too recently lost all of my firearms in a tragic boating accident. The weight of all of them may have been part of the reason the canoe tipped, but that is a story for another day. We need to count our blessings and look for the silver linings.

I turned all mine in some time ago, but I can't remember which state, and I seem to have lost the receipt when I moved.

OMG these NJ waters are horrible, the barge carrying mine sank during Sandy. I have no clue where they ended up other than the bottom of the Bay.
