Golden Corral

Recommended Posts

The one here on Route 73 (in Berlin?  Voorhees?) opened a few years ago, and my wife and I tried it twice.  Both times, the food was reasonably good and plentiful, but it was EXTREMELY crowded, lines for all the "good" stuff, kids running around unrestrained by parents who didn't seem to care, etc.

In short, a zoo.  We won't be back.

My cousin actually owns the biggest one in Topeka KS, when I visit I eat free haha I love the place. Otherwise when I visit my mom in Virginia Beach VA the place is very good. Never ate at one in jersey.

It's my mother-in-laws favorite rest. so I have been to a few.

The newer ones are ok,   clean, food is ok, the old ones where nasty.

I think they changed things a few years ago.

Freehold should be a good location. I will be there.

Where is it, when will it be opening?

I'm not too fond of the ones I have been to up north around here. When I was stationed down in North Carolina they were awesome.

We frequent the 2 outside Camp Leguene when visiting my son and always let him bring a few buddys along. They really really like it and we do also. Clean, good food and fun. Rarely see undisciplined kids running around in fact most are well behaved, prob has something to do with the heavy military atmosphere.

Was at one a few weeks ago in Charlotte, NC. Zoo is an understatement, at least for that place. They can't keep up with the mess the kids and customers make. So much of the food looked like it was raked over. Its buffet line type food, cheap cuts of meat, but all you can eat, if you dont mind lower quality food. One of our party spent a good 20 minutes recycling. We thought he died and he looked like it when he got back to the table. I have not tried the one in Berlin, but some friends gave it the thumbs down. Doubt I'll give it a try.

The one on the Black Horse Pike in Audubon (in the Korvettes Shopping Center - oops, am I showing my age??) is the pits.

Given that it's the closest one to Camden, is it any wonder?

You just might be. I must be in the same generation. Mine was in the Bronx, off of Bruckner Expwy. and Castle Hill Ave. The 60/70's version of Kohls

The one in Audubon is like an episode of Gangland. MY GF and I went there once with another couple and some dude with a dagger tattooed across is face and his gang (yes, an actual gang) started to try hit on her. I had to spend the rest of the night escorting my GF and my buddy's wife up to the buffet whenever they went.

I also once went there during lunch for work and there was a woman that was sitting at the table that must have lived near by and was using a cordless phone at the table.

They just received approval from the town in April so I figure it will be awhile.

The location is next to the Friday's on Rt9. Where the giant parking lot is. Apparently there were plans to build a 3 story hotel and a small strip mall and after the developer put in the lot the walked away. I always wondered why there was a giant parking lot for so few businesses.

Who is John Galt?

I am so excited I figured out how to change my signature.

One in Vineland / Millville boarder is disappointing.  Went once with the family, never again.  Cafeteria food in a cafeteria setting at diner prices.   If you're a big fan of kraft macaroni and cheese and canned string beans - go for it.  It seems busy so somebody must like it.

For breakfast food it's OK, can't screw up pancakes waffles and the like too bad. For anything else it's vomitburg, it's real popular with the 350+ lb crowd.

lol. one time when leaving the Bensalem location there were piles of vomit out side the door at the exit, just about added to the trail
