NYMetsFan86 9 Posted December 12, 2014 http://www.shop.northriverllc.com/Blocked-High-Capacity-Stainless-Steel-Magazine-CPDBLOCKED.htm GI mags crimped to 10 or 15.....seems legal if its permanent, what do you think?
BlueLineFish 615 Posted December 12, 2014 Seems permanant enough to me
Old School 611 Posted December 12, 2014 These magazines are commonly called "lanced". They've been in use in this state for many years. 20rd bodied lanced 15rd mags are available from Midway for about the same price. Why have a 30rd body in a 15rd mag, it only gets in your way. Unless of course you are a Mall Ninja.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted December 12, 2014 I have 4x C-Products mags that are "crimped" or "lanced" as well... Why have a 30 round body? Because they fit in mag pouches better.

I don't like wearing a vest with pouches and shit, I feel like it just gets in my way. I put all of my mags on my belt, therefore this advantage is lost to me. 15/20's are pretty much the best thing for me. This way they don't get in the way if I go prone or shoot from a bench. Whatever works for you homie.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted December 12, 2014 Regardless if I'm using a vest or battle belt or just pouches on my CR Speed belt, all of my mag pouches are meant for 30 rounders. 20 rounders (even with ranger plates) will get lost inside the pouch and I have to hunt for them to get them out. I prefer 30 rounders as they're easier to grab and get in/out of my gear.

Vlad G 345 Posted December 12, 2014 Unless of course you are a Mall Ninja. Way to overgeneralize. Because they are more ergonomic and fir pouches better.
Old School 611 Posted December 12, 2014 Way to overgeneralize. Because they are more ergonomic and fir pouches better. Well Vlad I got the desired result... In the day we didn't have 30's so I guess it's what you're used to.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted December 12, 2014 I have to call BS on the ATF approved. Sounds good, but why would the ATF weigh in when there are no Federal restrictions on mag capacity - unless they issued something during the 1994 - 2004 AWB.

But I've seen loads of these mags in Jersey.
Polak 3 Posted December 12, 2014 That's my guess Bob. But I've seen loads of these mags in Jersey. Just because they're in jersey doesn't make them legal. They may or may not be.
1LtCAP 4,264 Posted December 12, 2014 a dremel and about 10 minutes each could bypass that crimp. won't be pretty, but it'll do it.
coldsolderjoint 84 Posted December 12, 2014 a dremel and about 10 minutes each could bypass that crimp. won't be pretty, but it'll do it. That's true of a lot of "permanently modified" magazines.
Old School 611 Posted December 12, 2014 That's true of a lot of "permanently modified" magazines. True...These guys crack me up. All shit house lawyers. Just show me one that can't be made illegal... Where there's a will there's a way!
1LtCAP 4,264 Posted December 12, 2014 i wonder if at this point, this should go to the 1st? so antis that we all know may be lurking here don't see this about the mags?
bhunted 887 Posted December 13, 2014 Antis don't know the difference between an assault weapon and a semi let alone a mag and a clip. So, lets just identify this as a clip sized cleaning tool. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Blacksmythe 71 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) PK90's Pmags and the Hex mags are the best. I ran some of the AR-Stoner in classes and the springs and floor plates broke. I am not a fan. Edited December 17, 2014 by Blacksmythe
Old School 611 Posted December 15, 2014 PK90's Pmags and the Hex mags are the best. I ran some of the C-Products in classes and the springs and floor plates broke. I am not a fan. To the contrary. I've been using them for years and they're fine.

mipafox 438 Posted December 16, 2014 Unless of course you are a Mall Ninja. After years of study, training, and celibacy, I will not receive my Ninjitsu Degree for six more months, so I will not accept the title of The Ninja at this moment. I also avoid malls... ...except at night
Blacksmythe 71 Posted December 17, 2014 To the contrary. I've been using them for years and they're fine. I had a total of 10 The C-Products actually are still good, The 6 labeled AR-Stoner that I purchased from midway have all failed. The P-Mags are all fine,Ill know more about the HEX's in January or February when I go to class.. So C-Products good! AR-Stoner from midway bad. edited the post above to reflect that.
