Conservation Officer Down

In the wee hours of this past friday Mike Szalaj left this earth. He was a Conservation Officer mostly in Burlington Co for NJ Fish & Wildlife. He experienced a catastrophic health issue that took him from the woods to death in two weeks.

Father of a 6 year old daughter, married to my lovely daughter, a good cop, great son in law, and my gun buddy, Mike will be sorely missed.

He worked with a lot of agencies throughout NJ. For those interested I'll pass information on services, to be held this week.

Services for Mike Szalaj

 

Visitation: Wed. 1/4/17, 6-8 pm

Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ

 

Funeral Service: Allentown Presbyterian Church  20 High St, Allentown, NJ

Thurs. 1/5/17, Visitation 10-11, Service at 11, reception at church hall after.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that everyone please consider being an organ donor to better help those in need.
