So, let me get this straight.  France has very strict firearms laws, basically disarming the general population in order to make everyone safer.  Now there is a bit of social unrest and who are the first to get arms?  The lawless, violent rioters who steal weapons directly from the police?  

And who is left unarmed and vulnerable... you guessed it, the law-abiding citizens.

This got me wondering how the French media is handling the reporting, so I checked out the English versions of Le Monde, France24, and Le Figaro.   Interestingly, they aren't pulling any punches...endless references to violence, arson, looting, attacks on police, impending breakdown of society...

Worlds apart from the 'mostly peaceful protests' crap the US media was reporting during the BLM/Antifa riots.
