Never thought I'd see this in NJ. Convenience store on corner of 571 & S. Stump Tavern in Jackson. Just up the road from CJRPC.

We here in Texas have a duty to inform, and our LTC is tied to our DL. Personally, I see it as no big deal. Should I get pulled over, I want there to be ZERO misunderstandings between me and the LEO during our interaction.

I think the whole "leave it in the car" is bullshit. I would never leave my gun in the car. Too many assholes around here looking to steal my car. They can have the car but I'll never be responsible for some punk ass thug walking around with any of my guns.

Anyone here go to old bridge for competitions? I'm going this Saturday for the steel knockdown match. First time doing it. Would love to meet some people.

I spent a good amount of time reading this on AR15.com, and thought you guys might find it interesting. Many of you are probably familiar with Henderson Defense (aka Battlefield Vegas). They run a ‘shooting experience’ range in Vegas. I’ve been a time or two, and it’s a very cool experience. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Over the years, they have collected extensive data on weapon failure points, round counts, and other bits of data on all kinds of weapons. Many manufacturers are covered. I found it interesting, and I thought some of you data nerds like me would also like it. Unfortunately the rule changes/clarifies the definition of SBR to <16” barrel. If it’s a rifle then NJ rifle rules might apply. It seems the ATF is closing the “other” loophole so it’s a pistol, a braced Pistol, a rifle or an SBR. The Other category goes away I think. we will need to see how it holds up when challenged.

The legislation indicates that one qualification covers you for whatever you're carrying (as long as you own it). ALSO, there are those who get their permit along with a court order that restricts carry to ONLY the particular guns that are listed. That's about as clear as it gets right now, so it's best to proceed with an abundance of caution and err on the side of following the most restrictive guidance.

i think that unless the courts kill this in short order, anyone in nj, or any other states like nj are pretty much screwed.....

Why is anybody still listening to the ATF? They cannot possibly be considered an authority on anything to do with firearms as their only consistency has been to flip-flop on their decision letters. They are a joke and clearly don't actually know anything.

I used the Delaware County website, paid online, was able to check status online and drove out to the courthouse and get my picture taken and license laminated and issued in 5 minutes. Real easy process.

Great time today! A little rain never hurt anybody! Great to see all the old and new faces. @Ms. 12 Gauge had a few shooters out to practice for a duck hunt, and our group was definitely a help!

Would still be 100% legal. If the brace becomes somehow illegal, you can just take off the brace.
