Ray Ray's Zombie Apocolypse thread

I'm glad I live by the beach.... Setup facing west and don't have to worry about covering the east, just watch the north, south and western approaches. And its a bonus to be able to shoot "Jersey Shore" Zombies....

You would be deathly wrong....if you ever read world war z, zombies can cross oceans  :o

And since they do not need to breath, they can do an amphibious assault on your ass

can zombies climb ladders? There is a really big ass water tower across the street and also a fire tire. Both are surrounded by big chain link fences. There is also a cell phone tower with a strong structure by the gun range in the woods. If I was stocked up on supplies and weather was good could possibly be a good place to hold up for a week or two.

Indeed, if i can't be leader of central i'm with Tim

North Central is all you, from The River North to rte 78.

Wait, I live in Bayonne which is technically south of 78. What do I do?

I don't think caliber is really an issue. A 10/22 in 22lr will do the job if you aim for the face. Plus, I'm sure everyone here has the main calibers. The odd ball rounds would sufer though. Like 357 sig or 45 gap. As far as rifles and shotguns, we all pretty much shoot the same calibers as well.

But what if shooting a zombie's head off isn't the key. Maybe through a mutation they have reinforced bone skulls and the only way to kill them for good is to chop it off with a blade? oh man the possibilities of weapons is endless.

Standardizing calibers is something I've honestly thought of a lot when getting and considering future investments. Given, I only own a rifle and pistol at this point, but the next pistol I'll be getting (whenever my permits come in) will be a P229R in the same caliber as my XD (.40). If I were to get a bolt action or even a Saiga, I'd lean heavily towards getting whichever in .223. Even from an efficiency perspective, I only have to concern myself with getting a few calibers instead of a handful, saving me time and money.
