Bumble Bee Ham is opening a processing plant and deli in New York just two blocks away from Ground Zero next to a new mosque. The new location will process ham to be shipped out to Bumble Bee Hams across the country and launch a new high end deli on the ground level called Bacon.The feature item is a bacon burger made from ground bacon, topped with bacon served open faced on a bacon croissant with bacon ranch and a side of bacon sticks. This has set off a firestorm between many Americans and Muslims against so-called bacon extremists.

 

Critics claim that Bumble Bee Ham is being insensitive to Muslim feelings and seeking to inflame Muslim sensibilities. Supporters swear they only wish to promote a new peaceful dialogue in Muslim/Pork relations. Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, the founder of the mosque was reported in the New Pork Times saying, Most New Yorkers find the placement of Bumble Bee Ham offensive. New York is a big city. Why cant they just build somewhere else? If they really care about healing delicate wounds between Muslims and Pork they wouldn't build in a location where most New Yorkers disapprove.

 

A spokesman for Bumble Bee Ham responded in the New York Pork declaring, We have no desire to inflame or insult New Yorkers by inflaming and insulting them. America stands for freedom and we fully believe in that right. Freedom doesn't include a right to decency or good taste.

These days, it's all about the Bacon Bomb. A carpeting of woven bacon, wrapped around a massive sausage center. Slow cooked and drenched with barbeque sauce and served like meatloaf. Some people even take the slice and then put it on a bun with cheese, more bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato, etc. Burnt Finger Barbeque will sell you frozen ones via mail or you could always just make your own (best bet IMO).

 

Tastes freakin awesome. Also works great for clogging arteries, and making Jews/Muslims gasp in horror. Come on now. If you're gonna make fun of Muslims for not eating pork, at least be fair and make fun of Jews too.

I don't care if they eat pork or not. There shouldn't be a mosque there, so I hope I can help make it as unpleasant an experience as possible to go there. I'd also donate to building a synagogue next door and a church across the street.

Yeah, there's this really pesky law that allows them to build the Mosque. It's called the First Amendment.

 

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

 

I honestly am shocked by how many gun owners and self proclaimed people who love the constitution so much don't understand this. They say "Doesn't _____ know what shall not be infringed mean?" when some politician talks about gun control and then they turn around and forget what the First Amendment says.....

 

Like bbk said, instead of crying when someone exercises their constitutional rights, maybe we ought to have been worried about more noble things like building the Freedom Tower.

Ha, I totally see the novelty/joke in a pork plant and deli opening up next to the mosque eventually. I have no issues with that (as I'm apathetic to offending any religion/beliefs to certain extents); instead its when people start becoming overly malicious that it gets under my skin.
