I like the stoeger. It's sort of a neo-retro evolution of the old Western coach gun. Pretty cool shotty. Not the most practical, but you already have practical taken care of.

I've got a soft spot for a double barrel side by side - all because of a Russian cartoon hunting dog. The Remmy is nice, but you already have a tacticool Remington. the Winchester looks "blah". my useless vote: get the Stoeger.

This should satisfy your Remmy fix. A well maintained autoloader is no less reliable than a pump with game or home defense loads. I have the 22" barrel from the Tac4 on my 1100 Classic Trap. I keep it clean and oiled, and it has never failed me with a hunting load of buck or bird.

Between the 3, another vote for the SxS. The other 2 don't really do anything that your 870 doesn't already do well, and while a "tactical" SxS is kind of silly, I always wanted to try that gun

A SxS is a viable HD gun. I don't particulary care for the Tactical Double, but hey, it's your money.

I had the stoeger for about 2 weeks and had nothing but problems with it. Would only fire off of one chamber, sent it to stoeger they sent it back saying nothing was wrong with it. Test fired it both rounds fired at the same time then went back to only firing one chamber. Mine might of been a lemon but I wouldn't recommend one.

Why is it that every purchase I make or I might make you have to crap on it? Cx4, Keltec, charter arms (justified), and this doube gun?

And to answer your question, a SxS is a viable home defense option! It took 2 rounds for the guy in Texas to drop 2 home invaders and it took 2 rounds for the Coastie in NYC to drop 3 crooks. How's that for a little proof for ya!

Well, ordered the double gun but it's down to either the 887 or Stoeger. We'll see when I hold'er if I want the double or the tacticool plastic monster!
