wait wait wait....if your collecting welfare you shouldnt have a TV let alone CABLE! If your on welfare it SHOULD be to make sure the necessities are paid for. Food cloths shelter. By offering a cable plan for welfare reciepients your telling these people it is ok to be on welfare. Dont bother looking for work or striving to better your life, you have taxpayer money in your pocket and cheap cable...LIVE IT UP! Screw that man. The whole system has to go. I like the states that drug test welfare reciepents. More should do that!

This is a cell phone pic he sent me. He was my apprentice on a job site through the spring and aome summer and he had to leave to go do his 2 weeks. I asked him what he was doing for 2 weeks and he said riot training for when the take away welfare. I said bulls&-t so when he was away he sent me that pic.

I know they are making it alot harder to get. Like they do phone appointments and if you don't answer the phone your case is closed. You then have to start the entire getting welfare process over. Also people on general assistance have to go to job grainy for 30 days before they are eligible. If they miss one day or are late they have to start all over. Those 2 things went into effect this summer in nj. What's ashame is how the senior citizens get screwed. They are totally bled dry by the system. If they want to go into an assisted living community they are forces to sell thier house and the state gets every dime of it. Then (these are for instance numbers) if a senior get $900 a month in assistance the community charges em like $850 in rent. So they have no money for anything else. Now if you are on welfare your whole life yeah let em be broke but for the guys who worked their whole life just to be bled dry at the end is a shame

If they want to go into an assisted living community they are forces to sell thier house and the state gets every dime of it. Then (these are for instance numbers) if a senior get $900 a month in assistance the community charges em like $850 in rent. So they have no money for anything else. Umm - why shouldn't you be required to pay your own way through a nursing home or through assisted living? Why should the state pay for you to sit in a home while your money stays safe and sound?

By your reasoning you should be behind giving them cell phones then. one of the key obstacles to getting gainful employment is being able to be contacted by a prospective employer. Cell phones facilitate that. TV... not so much.
