Maksim 1,504 Posted August 28, 2011 So basically it seems like those areas that were in the flood zone, flooded. Worst I heard from some family friends, aunt without power in Matawan, water up to drive way at brothers in PA (he lives on a creek), and aunts house in Springfield, flooded basement
EchoMirage 137 Posted August 28, 2011 doubt its gonna be bad up here in north jersey. yeah....right. this is 2 blocks from my house. down this block on the right is my grandmothers house. 3-4 feet of water in the basement my backyard

matt6669 71 Posted August 28, 2011 Well I just made it home from my fantastic adventure to Massachusetts this weekend. I left this morning at 11am knowing that the tap was closed but knowing that bear mountain was still open and it's arteries leading away from bear mtn were still open. I made fantastic time up til the point where I got over bear mountain and it went downhill quickly after that. It seemed like every time I went West to go down South there was another tree or a washed out road. But luckily my country blumpkins were out in force today with their tractors and cleared this one car wide road on their own which then lead me into downtown greenwood lake and I was able to make it home. I'm very happy that I left this morning instead of leaving tomorrow like I thought i was going to change my plans. If I did, I would of never made it out of MA as all of their roads were getting ready to flood as I was driving past them. So far here we've had nothing but wind, no damage, and still have power. Be nice not to see my boat in the parking lot. looks like viking made out fine.. your boat did not make it to the parking lot looks ok. a little list to the port appears to be from the wind.
