vladtepes 1,060 Posted December 22, 2011 this is mine before I camo'd it.. DPMS 308.... 16in barrel.. . has been very accurate for me.. both shot a little low but I think that is just scope adjustment.. really happy with how the gun shot.. 5 shot groups.. slow from the bench.. This is the rifle..
Dan 177 Posted December 22, 2011 I'd 2nd the M1A approach, but you can't go wrong with an AR10, PTR91, DSA SA58, SCAR, and more that I can't think of right now. What are you going for? Precision, fun plinking, long range, combo-good all rounder? If you are worried about NJ-compliant, read up on Vlad's is-it-legal post. You can also find the .308 SA gun of your dreams and contact a few vendors on this site and ask them. Many of them can make-legal many guns that are out there that may not be NJ-ready from the factory.

IS45 1 Posted December 22, 2011 Looking for plinking gun,SCAR sound good, but not sure about legality in NJ. Keltekv RBF was my first choice, but so far no one can/want order. Is it any piston upgrade for AR10?Looked at POF,LWRC nice, but I'm not sure if i want spend that much money.

vjf915 456 Posted December 25, 2011 SCAR sound good, but not sure about legality in NJ. The legality of the SCAR in NJ is the same as any other semi-automatic rifle in NJ. If it's not on the list, you have to play the evil features game.
