Cemeterys Gun Blob

ACTION ALERT: Assembly Vote this THURSDAY

Recommended Posts

I gotta vent. When Carrol was confronting that clueless jackwagon regarding ftf purchases. He was clueless. He had no idea What the Frack was happening. He said to give le a second look at the purchaser and that applying for the initial purchase permit was not enough. Fooking really? I wanna punch that guy. He seems to think that a fid card is all that is needed and he was back stepping in total confusion. Omfg! I want to scream! Arghhhh! And they passed it to boot!

Carroll should have pointed out, it's actually in most cases a 3rd look. First = FID. Second = PTP, Third is this ridiculous law.

I would have asked, "OK, if, after passing your law, there continues to exist crime, will you insist on a fourth look?"

There should be some mechanism by which, if someone speaking in favor of a bill curls up into a quivering blob of protoplasm, and none of his comrades can rescue him, the thing is just quietly slipped in the trash can, and we pretend that nothing even happened.

...Casagrande...good! I like her passion.

This is insane. Everything is passing. I've always known that NJ was backwards when it came to gun laws, but i never knew it was this bad, or that it could get this much worse so quickly.

So... let me get this straight. These bills pass the Assembly, as they just have. Next, they go to the Democrat controlled Senate. They will pass their. Then, it ends up on the Governors desk, and he gets to make the choice to either let them stand or veto them? Is that correct? And, if so... Does that mean that these will not actually become law until Christie decides to either let them stand or veto them? (i.e. New Jersey's laws haven't changed YET... have they?)

First, your history teacher should be shot for not having taught you how our republic works or you should be spanked for not paying attention.

Once a bill passes one house (in this case, the Assembly), it moves to the next house (the Senate). There, it goes to Committee where they can decide whether or not they are going to vote on it as it stands it or send it back for changes. If it passes the Senate, it goes to Christie's desk. He can make it law or veto it. To over rule his veto they need 27 votes in the Senate and 54 votes in the General Assembly. It would be very difficult for them to get that in the Assembly. Senate they might be able to swing if some Reps cross the aisle trying to be political.

I knew that none would pass. But what irked the hell outa me is any testimony like Carrol brought forth and the democratic idiot receiving it like the FTF sale for instance showed just have damn stupid these morons are. They have/had no idea what the reality was or what was currently on he books as current law. How can anyone accept this? How stupid are these boneheads. I pray it never gets to the final lap. Jackwagons!!!! What are he educational requirements these days. That as long as they can get a passing grade in Sand Box School and have money, they could have a seat! My mistake is having more coffee instead of having a stiff drink while listening to these clueless twits!

(Note to self: Calm down John before you have a stroke!)

We had a PATHETIC showing yesterday. I would say we were outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1. Not that our presence made an impact on the vote, but it showed we are in it for the long haul.

Our lack of turn out was obvious and embarrassing, frankly. I have a grand total of 14 days I can take off a year, vaca, personal and sick. I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be burning ALL of them fighting this infringement on our rights.

I am no better than anyone else. This is a long fight. One rally and one committee meeting are not going to win it.

Not to be a douche here BUT why are you 'floored'......??

You are still residing in the greatest country on earth and as a Constitutional Republic this is the legislative process....

*YOU*, *WE* are a minority in this state as it pertains to firearms. Do not shame our process because this is NOT going out way.......

Frankly if you want to change things, RUN for office, WORK against those that do not support your views and attack them at the BALLOT box.

Yesterday is a result of MANY years of FAILED firearms advocacy in this state.......

*WE*, have elected these folks...

*WE*, have sat idly by and let them be voted in, when is the last time you manned a phone bank for a REP that supports your thoughts..

*WE*, have reaped what we have sown in this state for the past 20 years......

NOW what, shall we fret like little school boys and girls, shall we stomp our feet and say it is not fair, shall we act as pre-pubescent teens and whine, **** and moan......

NO NO NO.....! for petesake....WORK to change it.............

Get ready for legal action, get ready for NOVEMBER.... GET READY TO MAKE CHANGES.....

In WWII in 1941 we were **** slapped across the Pacific........did we wilt and die...NO ! We hunkered down...we rolled up out sleeves...we PUSHED back...it didnt happen immediately...did it...just like this will not....but push back we will...

Are you ready? Are you READY for the work? ARE WE MEN enough for the work?

Time will tell....

^^^^ This! +1,000,000!!!

My only fear, Nick... is that many people just don't want to fight... many people today are just spoiled and used to things coming to them easily. So, many will just put their hands up in frustration and give up... others will just decide to get the heck out of Dodge (move out of NJ and go to a free state)... and those of us that want to dig our heels in and fight, will be an even smaller minority than we already are. I refuse to give up! We all need to work together and fight for our rights!

Nickjc - couldn't have said it better. We sat around thinking because NJ is bad that it couldn't get worse. I'm going to be honest - I will donate to NJ2AS, but I will not spend my time fighting. I will focus my energy on moving to Louisiana. If this disease spreads that far - I will make my last stand there. But I've said before - gun control is about #17 on my list of things wrong with this state. Liberal Democrats have an army of illegals, wellfare collectors and other "entitled" folk to vote them into offices year after year. We don't get any reinforcements, because the only people who move INTO NJ are the ones from even worse places, politically speaking. And guess how they vote? I'm not being a "defeatist". It's a "strategic retreat" :)

These legislators have no effing clue on the current laws and the ones they sponsor. The bills should be voided due to sponsor being a clueless pr1ck.

They might not have a clue, but know exactly what they're doing. They might not understand how restricted we already are, and how these laws are pointless, but they want to work toward a gun ban. Yes - they sound like idiots trying to defend their views, but they don't care. I heard one assemblyman say he wanted to stop face to face transfers just to get a second look at the paperwork. They are progressive liberals wanting a government controlled nanny state. They believe in two classes of people, the elite and us regular folk. They know a gun ban won't go through, but they'll tread that fine line and make the laws so restrictive, that people will not go through the hassle to obtain firearms.

The hard part is getting these guys voted out of office to change this. They represent the lower income parts of the state where they live on government programs or are liberal democrats. The people will not vote out the hand that feeds them and some are voting for them just to vote the party line. They're democrats that have no idea what's going on in the world.

We are a minority here. The only hope we have is changing the minds that are "in between" and have a brain in their head. I don't believe we have a chance with the hardcore liberal minded. We need to use every avenue available to defeat them.

I think 'complacent' is a better term to describe most of the people in this country. It's been only 65 years since the end of WWII, yet we as a people have forgotten that America is nothing special and it CAN happen here. I remember growing up hearing my history teachers tell us that democracies are relatively short lived, in historical terms, and that America had one of the oldest in recorded history. Little did I know at the time that I would eventually come to interpret this not as just some abstract historical fact but as a warning.

The anti-gun movement is one step on a long road toward socialism and totalitarianism, and the biggest slap in the face is that the anti-gunners don't even realize they're being played by the mainstream media and the wealthy interests that own it, and are sowing the seeds of their own enslavement. I think they'll wake up eventually -- probably right after the government starts breaking into homes in the middle of the night to take the dissenters away, never to be seen again -- but by then it will be too late. The people will have been stripped of any remaining ability to revolt in a meaningful way, and our civilization will enter another dark age ruled by the new aristocracy.

Yes, this could happen here. But we're not going to win anyone over to our side unless we take our tin foil hats off.
