My Rant of the day on mag limits bill A2006/S993

Recommended Posts

I am sure you know this already.  They already have those ideas. They also know that law abiding citizens are NOT the root of the problem. They know, because of law abiding nature of people, they have ALL the time in the world to slowly but surely chip away at the 2A right. They dont want come straight out as Anti Constitutionalists, but want to take it away through gradual conditioning.

Rest assured, they not only have ideas, they have written up laws ready to be introduced all the way to ZERO Firearms.

hell, at that point why even stop with just the mag cap law, lots of others have been premiered the past 18 months. The shit WILL hit the fan in a few yrs. NJ gunowners have been warned your gonna get screwed, its coming. I can take a hint. Make your plans to leave or learn to deal with whats coming.

Agreed...the next Democratic Governor will push for a limit or outright ban...anyone thinking otherwise is fooling themselves. The ONLY thing we can do is REGISTER and VOTE in EVERY ELECTION!!!! Apathy is our enemy.

I agree.  It's incrementalism at its finest.  We really do need to figure out how to vote those dirtbags out of office.

They definitely know that mag limits wont change the crime rate this SOB admits it on camera. Basically says its intention it to further control the law abiding gun owners!

He is also speaking about how important education is. Someone should explain to this idiot that his grammar is horrible and I think he himself could use some education. When he talks its like nails on a chalk board to me listening to him.

That’s only if the Dems remain in control of both Senate and Assembly which is exactly what you have now. It should have never got that far to begin with. So yes, give them a Dem Gov and both houses and its free rein and more of the same. Then look for Greenwald and Sweeny to do more  grandstanding on the graves of the CT children, both of those guys are pathetic! Voters, primarily the Unions and Civil servants need to stop for pulling the D lever every time the walk into the booth. As much as we cite issue after issue here with NJ Firearm laws as gun owners and hobbyist that is only a symptom of the problems in Trenton. All firearms laws proposed in the last 2.5 decades have been nothing more than smokescreens for the real issues hampering the state and hurting our middle class.

Now is the time to act.  Get NRA lobbyists, a war chest and support for the right candidates.  Bloomberg has been puliing the strings with the press and his messaging.  There are publicists that do this for a living very effectively.  We have been on the defense too long. The best defense is a strong offense.  The system can work if you use it.  Sweeney and Greenwald with their minions have gone too far.  How the heck did they get away with stopping a roll call when it wouldn't pass to get it along the process? Sounds totally illegal to me.

Sweeney is also attacking Rutgers.  HIs collateral damage there might be useful.  "Your enemies enemy is my friend"

NJ2AS has done a really good job but maybe we can leverage them, NRA and some other pro2A groups BEFORE Christie is gone.

Election day is rapidly approaching.  Please take the time to review NRA ratings for candidates and consider supporting those that are 2A friendly. Some bills are being proposed to  add "training requirements" for citizens seeking firearms.  NRA sent an alert on this last week.  The attacks will get worse when Christie is gone. We need to used the political process effectively to maintain the limited rights we have already possess.

There is only one way to vote them out of office, STOP VOTING THIRD PARTY!!!  This is why dems always win because no matter how screwed up the dem candidate is all dems still vote for him/her, even if they hate them.  Republicans on the other hand have too much pride.  Well guess what, time to swallow that pride and vote for the republican candidate regardless how you feel about him/her.  Remember, you're not voting for the republican, you're voting against the democrat!

Putting a Socialist Lite Republican in office will not do anything.  We have to get rid of ALL of the incumbents.  The party is fractured... there are true conservatives and those that claim to be conservative (fiscally conservative and socially liberal)..

You won't get rid of all incumbents. Just the Republicans.

If you want to get rid of RINOs you do that during the primaries, not the general election. Don't forget, the worst RINO is better then the best lib. But again, it's not about getting incumbents out, history has proven time and again that a vote for 3rd party is a vote for your adversary.

Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. Voting for one of the main parties just continues to exacerbate the issue of a bought government. Your thinking is exactly how the government got the way it is.

My thinking is, " this is what the dems are doing and their winning". If you want to vote for the 3rd party just to teach the rep party a lesson, go right ahead, your vote is your business and no one has a right to influence it. But if you do go that route then you shouldn't complain about the outcomes of election!

It's not about "teaching the rep party a lesson", it's about stopping the perpetual cycle of both parties being pimped out by wall street like whores and then steam rolling the American public.

Look at the failure of the Republican party in NJ. They cannot even put up a viable candidate to run against Cory Booker or for Rush Holt's seat in the House. They put up some fossil against Booker and a no-name against Holt. This is how sad the Republican party has fallen in this state. The only chance for a seat in the House is the one being given up by Jon Runyon. Tom MacArthur vs. Democrat Aimee Belgard. She doesn't even have one positive ad in south Jersey on what her platform is. All she does is bash MacArthur as being wealthy and out-of-touch. Pathetic.

And every dem will vote for Belgard while half the rep will vote for some other then MacArthur because he's not republican enough and Belgard will win.

Third party candidates hurts the dems fairly often as well.  Just depends on the district/election and who's up.  The rise of Tea Party candidates who then go independent was causing a huge problem for GOP candidates in other states but not so much here.

I`m actually getting tired of being a felon, not being a felon, being a felon, not being a felon.

I was a felon for my Marlin .22 semi-auto, now I`m not .so far. (currently out of state)

I was a felon for owning a M-1 carbine and 30 Rd magazines (currently out of stare)

I was a felon for possession of "jungle clips"                             (currently out of state)

I was a felon for 15 Rd magazines, then I  wasn`t, then I was,  now I`m not sure. Is a 50 Rd drum mag legal???? round vs vertical??????????

Pretty soon we`ll all be felons for manufacturing all our ammo, terrorists for having 5 pounds of powder, and who knows what else. Most likely charged for air pollution

casting bullets.

I just called Conners, but I've talked with him before and I know he will vote against it.

Both my assembly voted against it - both Reps. Grove and Rumpf.

I live in a fantastic part on NJ, wish we could succeed from the rest of the dump! :-)

Me too! Ocean County "Gets It!"
