Not exercising your 2A rights because of what "might" happen later on is ridiculous.

Easy. CA requests shipping history from all online vendors who have been vocal about shipping to CA. Cops get sent to said address. Dog gets shot.

When the tax brackets went up to 90%, virtually nobody paid it. The start of the bracket was so high that many people never reached it and the ones that did were rarely getting there from a regular "job." The ultra wealthy (which is who this is supposed to hit) don't make that money in the form of "ordinary income." It's from the businesses they own or investments. And raising taxes on the things that matter most to the ultra wealthy (investments) also raises taxes on retirement income/investments. Not to mention we still shouldn't be penalizing others due to their success or the rewards they receive from risk they take. It's absurd that some think it's right to do so.

Right after the part he has underlined to support his argument that a shockwave is a destructive device it says, "any weapon capable of firing a projectile of a caliber greater than 60 caliber, except a shotgun or shotgun ammunition generally recognized as suitable for sporting purposes" It exempts firearms that shoot shotgun ammo right after he stops underlining. The guy will get his permit & go away, Nappen gets paid from the Go Fund Me, and also gets free advertising material for his next client. I assure you he wants no changes in the law. He's just here to make a living.

Uppers are not considered a firearm so technically any configuration is legal assuming you dont have a lower to put it on (constructive intent). As long as the upper is in a complaint state WHEN you take possession of the compliant lower, you are good to go (no bayonet lug, pinned/welded muzzle brake, overall barrel length 16" minimum). Now who is gonna monitor you while you build an AR to ensure you follow every step exactly right? You decide. As for the lower. the stripped lower is considered a firearm so even if you own absolutely nothing, and only have a stripped lower. The moment you own a folding/collapsible stock and a stripped lower it can be considered constructive intent. So here are your options for lowers: 1. Order a lower with collapsible stock combo and send it to an FFL that is also a gunsmith and they can pin the stock before transfering it over to you. (you'd have to coordinate with the ffl/gunsmith, do NOT just send them non compliant firearms without giving them a heads up) 2. Order a collapsible stock first, pin it first, then order a lower to put it on. Downside is you dont get to see how it feels like to shoulder the whole rifle beforehand. 3. Order a fixed stock lower. Again, who is going to monitor your every step of the way to make sure you are in compliance at every single step? Thats for you to decide.

Source? Several people have provided the definition right from the dictionary. What is the source for your definition?

I like the platform more than an AR. I have both and shoot them both well. As they say “variety is the spice of life.”

When every politician in NJ is dead, but the people of NJ were not big supporters of The American revolution neither. They will never flood Trenton for guns or the tyrannical taxation. We are the whiner state. Acta Non verba was never even an idea in NJ! It's easier to simply take it or leave it.

This thread has turned into the "Do YOU transport loaded mags" thread of 2019! IANAL. That being said...remember that Lawyers are paid to keep you out of jail, NOT tell you what the law says. There's a HUGE difference. Staying out of jail, in the extreme sense, means we each tuck our tail between our legs and walk around with a guilty look on our collective kissers. Downtrodden, BEAT, on the DEFENSE at all times. Transporting according to FOPA Rules while still inside NJ. Do most of you know the difference? Can you type it w/o looking it up? I Doubt it. Doing it lawfully and doing it "Candy-Ass style" are completely different. Lawyers always give advice on the extreme side of surrendering your 2A rights. That way no one can point fingers and say "He told me xyz about transportation" under cross examination. They always take the safe play. And you lose rights that way! I choose to push the envelope. A "secure package" is brown craft paper & bakery string. On your front seat. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr locked in the trunk of an automobile, completely naked, no case, holster or box or other impediment of access of any type or kind, and then merely tossed into the trunk to get scratched by the other 199 naked, UNLOADED firearms contained therein My 12th grade edumacation taught my punctuation and its' MEANING. If the next wiz-bang lawyer tells you to remove your firing pins or field strip prior to transporting, are you Richard Craniums going to comply & say "YES SIR, MORE PLEASE!" Just askin' for a friend... ~R

I agree. I got my permits today after waiting 69 days (filed for them the old fashion way). Whether you have to wait 69 days or 9 days, don't lose sight of the fact that this state has willingly violated your constitutional rights by creating a system that forces you to ask the government for permission, then pay fees to that government in order for you to exercise the rights that are supposed to be granted to you as an American citizen. The only improvement would be a supreme court decision reversing this states pistol permitting process, magazine capacity restrictions and unconstitutional conceal carry laws & permit requirements.

They lost me at "high capacity". Fuck them

Fudd be damned. I disagree with you. The lawful citizen should be secure in his or her person and property and NOT subject to the whims of an unjust and tyrannical government no matter how slight the perceived risk. There should be a healthy fear of an out-of-control government seeking more power. That is NOT fear mongering or exaggerating. One should NOT underestimate its foe. A non-violent individual not otherwise committing a crime should NOT be subjected to thousands of dollars in fines and lawyers fees, and NOT be subjugated and put in jail, and of course live in fear.

Actually, for the money, the Freedom is very tough to beat. Plenty have done beater tests on them and they pass quite well. Take a look at the reviews, they are great value!
