These are great uppers, Ive had mine since last May. Short, light, a great shooter, and makes killer fireballs at night with m193 ammo, what more can you ask for? Just grind the ears off the bayo lug and your ready to go.

How hard is it to grind them off with a dremel? what tool did you use?

Took me maybe 15 minutes to take the ears off with a dremel.

Yep thats all I did, AFAIK theres no way a bayonet will stay on without the ears on the sides. Heres a thread on it http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/36866-grinding-down-bayonet-lug/

midwest makes a two peice FF quad rail that attaches to the barrel nut that comes standard. I believe TROY is also making rails that attach to the stock barrel nut so all you'd have to do is grind down the FSP so itd basically be a low profile and grind off the Delta ring.

I picked one of these up a while back. Great shooter. I used a DD Omega 9 rail in order to free-float it w/o having to worry about the pinned muzzle device.
