Ray Ray 3,566 Posted February 16, 2013 S&W 686 6" nevermind, i'm lefty. I have 2 holsters that would fit a 4inch K frame or GP100 revolver though, but their also leather.
alec.mc 180 Posted February 16, 2013 Due to a forecast of temperature in low 30's and windy conditions Real Deal Steel for 2/17/13 is CANCELED, we will try again in March

alec.mc 180 Posted February 16, 2013 Mother nature hates Revolver shooters. Everytime we get a large revolver squad together match gets canceled due to weather. Bummed, hopefully we can carry over the guys who wanted to shoot this month for the 17th at oldbridge, or 3/3/13 @ CJRPC. -Alec

Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted February 16, 2013 I'm disappointed, but not. I feel like crap and it would have sucked to shoot tomorrow. I would have needed a hug, or some gentle spooning.

alec.mc 180 Posted February 17, 2013 Gives me time to find a proper holster. Any suggestions for a S&W 686 6"? A regular old blade tech is a good holster multiple purposes, should be able to use it for uspsa & steel.
alec.mc 180 Posted February 17, 2013 or you can spend a little money if you want something more competition ( speed orientated ) I have a few revo belt rigs, my uspsa holster is a Double Alpha race master, and my static steel holster is a CR SPeed. Heavyopp 167 Posted February 17, 2013 Alec-- Got any thoughts on a holster rig for Jake -- He's gonna be shooting a Springfield 1911 in 9mm this year. I don't mind spending some money for a good rig for him to grow with... I was thinking more competition/ speed oriented than carry oriented if that makes sence
Smokin .50 1,907 Posted February 17, 2013 Jer, A CR Speed works well with a 1911. Mine is over 10 years old and still shootin' away! USPSA or Steel, works great with either.

Heavyopp 167 Posted February 17, 2013 Single Stack or L10? SS has restrictions on the holster. I don't know what this means Steve -- It is a single stack 1911 if that's what your asking
AS350Driver 56 Posted February 17, 2013 I don't know what this means Steve -- It is a single stack 1911 if that's what your asking He's talking about the different divisions in USPSA. Single Stack or Limited/Limited 10. Each division has different equipment requirements, such as position of your holster and mag pouches on your belt, also type of holster. No race holsters in SS division.
