So it's Cesar Chavez's birthday today, NOT Easter

Recommended Posts

President Barack Obama released a statement in 2011 proclaiming March 31 “Cesar Chavez Day,” declaring, “I call upon all Americans to observe this day with appropriate service, community, and educational programs to honor Cesar Chavez’s enduring legacy.”

Ridiculous ..I like this from Wikipedia

"President Barack Obama proclaims March 31 as Cesar Chavez Day in the United States, with Americans being urged to "observe this day with appropriate service, community, and educational programs to honor Cesar Chavez's enduring legacy."

Since there is no Easter in his religious belief he chose Easter as the Christian one to shit on..not like there's 350 or so other days he could have chosen....Typical

Slow small changes such as This and what w.o.d mentioned the "new history"... That they are teaching in school is how they plan to reach the end game...and hopefully with no real conflict...

This president sucks..I am still dumbfounded he was elected for a second term..

As am I, but as long as people don't know the issues and simply vote on the limited bits of info they see on TV adds this is going to happen again and again.

Really sad, in my opinion.

He promised more "free stuff". Hard to win against that when the uninformed and Democrats want more "free stuff".

I think It's probably far easier to teach what they want you to believe in the schools while young and impressionable/than to brainwash Americans as a whole(although some are eager to believe whatever they are told) as i believe the majority of today's younger parents aren't as involved with their children's schoolwork/school books and either don't know/care how they have changed/skewed them as it may be subtle change to what they learned in school... But at my age I looked through a friends child's history book....not at all what we learned about....guess they'll just bide Their time until we die and the new history is the only one the populous knows

Like Marx and Lenin, Cesar is a religious figure to democrats.

And now appearantly the replacement holiday for Easter....Like the constitution ....judeo christian beliefs are "outdated... And need to be rethought to fit today's America".... Or soon to be known as U.S.S.A...PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF AMERIKISTAN.... Etc lol

Seems to be some sort of latino MLK jr. type person. I could be wrong tho.

Illegals rights defender definitely trumps Easter and what it stands for..... At least to the socialist workers party.... As I said before its a slap in America's face

However I think of it this way... Did it anger you that atheists tried to get a cross removed from the 9/11 memorial? Flipping the script, religious folk get angry at the omission of their beliefs by others.. What makes one group better than the other?

America was formed by people looking to escape religious persecution, based on the conviction that there was one true religion, and non conformists would pay with their lives for believing anything else. So while a company has made a decision to buck the religious system, that in itself is an exercise based fundamentally in the origins of this country :)

Happy Easter to my fellow brothers as I mean no ill-will towards your beliefs

I'm not religious by any means...and fully agree with the escape from persecution as the founding principles... But still it was Christianity that was entrenched in the upstart ....but also with the freedom to believe/follow your own faith/religion etc.... My problem with the act is not their "bucking the system" ... Rather my concern is with the root of these "statements"

Bing has Easter Eggs (the painted kind). They are not super-PC like Google, but for all I know in other countries they have nothing Easter related. I am stating to drift back toward Microsoft for consumer computer/desktop & online stuff.

Agreed. As far as Bing goes, I know some people on here are going to say MS is just as bad as Google. That might be true, but just like politics, it is a two party system. There are other search engines, but the results suck compared to Bing or Google. Bing is the only one in any position to take away market share from Google. Of course, I also use adblock on my browsers so they don't get any ad revenue and I don't get bugged by ads. Plus, using Bing earns Xbox points (or other things).

I believe it was Rush Limbaugh who said "In a nation of children, Santa Claus wins"
