EchoMirage 137 Posted April 30, 2013 Typical. Antis talk about whatever they want. Yet we're constantly 'reminded' to stay on bill
71ragtopgoat 23 Posted April 30, 2013 Why are the pro 2A people restricted to comment on the bill only while the Anti's can rant about anything.
Sonnylee 20 Posted April 30, 2013 What bill is this psycho talking about?
Dan 177 Posted April 30, 2013 Whenever a pro starts off by saying negative stuff about politicians, they retaliate by screwing with then next few pro gun rights speakers.
Cemeterys Gun Blob 165 Posted April 30, 2013 That's the antis excuse since they have a piss poor showing. They pulled the same stunt at the previous assembly depicting "us" as armed criminals. The other lady went on talking about having 20 chapters in her organization yet only garnered 5 people to clap in their support. Those '5' people are the very same ones that run the other 20 chapters.

JrzyGuy30 0 Posted April 30, 2013 Terrorist watch list bill withheld. Everything else passing SMH... Can't believe all these people are voting yes, even after all the facts being laid out in front of them.
voyager9 3,437 Posted April 30, 2013 I haven't seen it mentioned.. has there been any discussion on the fact that one of the proposed bills requires the establishment of an infrastructure (through DMV) that duplicates what's already done Nationally (NICS)? claptrap 0 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't understand why they have testimony when they know what the vote is ahead of time, hopefully Christie will realize these will cost to much to implement and veto them

Sonnylee 20 Posted April 30, 2013 That Norcross was quick on his vote! He timed it well.. He want to be home by 6pm ...friggin ahold! What a hypocrite!
springfieldxds 0 Posted April 30, 2013 Any reason to go on may 2nd honestly, look what happened here, sadly Christie is our only hope and we know he'll most likely sign all of these bills in, now we get to wait a year to receive our new and improved fid/dl cards and be subjected to illegal searches when pulled over because we're gun owners, this is great

claptrap 0 Posted April 30, 2013 Could NJ2AS or NRA take NJ to court over the identification on gun owners on a DL?
matty 810 Posted April 30, 2013 Not over yet! The other bills, including the mag limit are up for the 2nd of May. Then off to the full Senate--make sure your Senators hear from you! And whatever makes it out of there, will have to get reconciled with the Assembly versions, UNLESS the senate Bill IS the Assembly bill with amendments as they say. You can get a pretty good read on what bills Sweeney will want to get passes by that indicator. If it goes to the Senate floor already synced up, those are the ones he wants to go to Christie. those are the ones to hammer Christie on.

RubberBullets 65 Posted April 30, 2013 Could NJ2AS or NRA take NJ to court over the identification on gun owners on a DL? Maybe because a number of businesses or transactions require photo id (not firearms related) to be furnished, a "firearms endorsement" on your license would be a violation of privacy divulging your status as a firearms owner to various retail locations. Ohh and it spells it out to your employer that requires your DL to be on file.

Ohh and it spells it out to your employer that requires your DL to be on file. They stated that there is no identifiable markings on your DL to identify you as a firearms owner, It is embeded into the swipe strip and only accessible by LE and FFLS etc.. springfieldxds 0 Posted April 30, 2013 I thought the firearms endorsement will be in the barcode and not visible
springfieldxds 0 Posted April 30, 2013 They stated that there is no identifiable markings on your DL to identify you as a firearms owner, It is embeded into the swipe strip and only accessible by LE and FFLS etc.. Exactly that's the problem, illegal searches whenever a gun owner is pulled over because you might have a firearm in the car, and I bet the first question out of the officers mouth when he comes back with your dl will be "is there a gun in your possession" or something like that

wooly bugger 1 Posted April 30, 2013 And see the end to private face-to-face sales.. since there's no way the public can perform a background check or vet a potential buyers eFID... This is one of my big worries. Worse, no FFL is going to do the transfer for the $15 limit. This would be so easy to fix if they would just set up a portal, as suggested by Tom Coburn, to allow people to do a secure NICS
lunker 274 Posted April 30, 2013 here we go..smh. Sometimes the scare tactics here are just as bad as the nonsense from the antis BLF, Since when is information tracked by the government not used by the government? Remember when we were assured that EZ Pass records would be kept private and confidential and never used to track a person's travel? They are used in court proceedings all the time nowadays. People have a legitimate reason to worry about this.
