Banka871 0 Posted September 25, 2013 Came across this video of some kids doing an awesome cover
mikeyjones 88 Posted September 25, 2013 Eh. Her voice annoys me and while the kids can play the same notes, it's really not the same song. Maybe I'm just an a-hole..
rightisright 3 Posted September 25, 2013 It's a bunch of kids playing a pretty damned complex multi-layered rock song. Give 'em a break. The kid on the drums is the stand out. He's better than a lot of the "professional" rock drummers out there.
checko 180 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm a big fan of tool. I think these kids did a great job. 46&2 and sober were a couple of my favorite songs to play on the bass. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
JT Custom Guns 958 Posted September 25, 2013 Better than most covers of this song - the kids are talented!
acuevo 0 Posted September 25, 2013 disclaimer: i am a musician who plays and writes this kind of complicated stuff. i also have protools (recording program) the kids are talented for sure, they did a good job on the song, what kills it is the mix and the quality of the girls voice, she can definitely sing, but maybe she should stick to paramore and put a little more umph into the heavier stuff. the piano is cool, but whoever mixed this didn't do a very good job. like they over compressed everything because theres no dynamics. OVERALL however, these kids did a knock out job. there are a LOT of talented kids out there... all i have to do is sit at guitar center for like 15 minutes and i'll see a kid who can out play me. NJKen 23 Posted September 25, 2013 I absolutely love this whole album. They did a good job with the cover. Ken
vladtepes 1,060 Posted September 25, 2013 love tool think the cover is great.......... saw Tool.. and later saw A Perfect Circle..
NicePants 58 Posted September 25, 2013 Cover was pretty good. Bass could be a little more deep and prominent and the girl's voice doesn't really fit, but it's a pretty cool effort.

Agreed. It was a bit weird seeing a 11-12 year old girl sing an angst-ridden song meant for a male tenor.
Redrum 0 Posted September 26, 2013 Pretty cool cover, they did a great job. Now only if I could get my nephews to put down the playstation..
checko 180 Posted September 26, 2013 Lol Jesus guys she's like 11. I like hearing different styles and having her spin on the song. If I wanted to hear the song exactly I'd put tool on lol Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

RobertJames 14 Posted September 26, 2013 The girl is talented for sure, but not the right song for her. Just glad she's exposed to real music, rather than GaGa or Bieber. Here's a Tool cover that I thoroughly enjoy. http://youtu.be/67rslfF-QQU
SuRrEaLNJ 294 Posted September 26, 2013 actually ther singer brought lacey mosley/sturm to mind for me

Njbanshee 9 Posted September 26, 2013 You guys are tough. These are young kids. I think it's great. Do you remember the talent shows in middle school and high school? Come on, this is amazing.
dtown223 12 Posted September 26, 2013 Yeah, these 12 year olds are totally unprofessional. they should just give up and get to work breaking rocks in a quarry somewhere.

TheLugNutZ 21 Posted September 26, 2013 I wish i could see this at work. I have seen this mentioned a few times. AS a drummer, I can def appreciate the younger generation playing the music i grew up listening to...
ogfarmer 138 Posted September 26, 2013 The original post is from a music school, kinda like school of rock , I watched a few other video from the you tuber. Great to see these kids play real music and some of them are extremely talented

Malsua 1,422 Posted September 26, 2013 I love tool, and this is a pretty good cover. Lets face it here, no one can do Maynard but Maynard. That said, if you watch "Blood into Wine", you can start to understand why Maynard is the way he is. It also turned me on to Puscifer since the song "The Humbling River" runs at the end. RedBowTies88 41 Posted September 26, 2013 Wow and Killswitch!!!! Awesome! I like this.. -P I love killswitch, but in comparison to tool their music is much more simple.
peter679 0 Posted September 26, 2013 I'm an incredibly horrible guitarist, drummer and bassist... but my wife is amazing musically (probably could have gone to Giuliard). Anyways, I'm an appreciator of great talent, you can't expect anyone to do vocals like Phil Anselmo or Maynard.. .musically these kids are sick!!!!! The growl in the Killswitch song is awesome too.. love this! -P
peter679 0 Posted September 26, 2013 I love killswitch, but in comparison to tool their music is much more simple. Totally agree!!!! Between Carey on Drums and Adam jones on Guitar they're mind blowing musically!! Just like Dream Theater mind blowing musicianship! I love killswitch and can't wait to see them in November with Lamb of God in philly -P
