MedicYeti 96 Posted October 16, 2014 Dude. Your keyboard is filthy.
Polak 3 Posted October 16, 2014 The spider probably lives in the keyboard considering the "cleanliness" of it.
intercooler 41 Posted October 16, 2014 Dude. Your keyboard is filthy.you would be too if you were in that closet for like 5 years... especially with us working on the house, it's a dust magnet

illy 1 Posted October 16, 2014 If that's a wolf spider, it's just a cub.
vladtepes 1,060 Posted October 17, 2014 IMO not a wolf spider.. we get wolf spiders in my basement here.. and they just look different than that.. they are less consistent in color and have thicker less translucent legs.. I mean maybe it was a different kind of wolf spider? but not what I am used to seeing..
Tack Tickle 0 Posted October 17, 2014 It's definitely not a wolf spider. Their eyes are in different locations. If you had a clear macro shot of it I could tell you exactly what it is. From what I can see, it looks like a type of jumping spider or brown recluse. If it was a brown recluse, you might want to check that closet very closely and make sure they don't go near your family or animals!
johnp 45 Posted October 18, 2014 I believe it is a Broadfaced Sac Spider.

mipafox 438 Posted October 20, 2014 And the Brown Recluse is not indigenous to NJ. Which is why so many people have been treated for their bites at Ft. Dix. You call that a spider? THIS is a spider http://news.yahoo.com/goliath-encounter-puppy-sized-spider-surprises-scientist-rainforest-125720953.html

mipafox 438 Posted October 20, 2014 Brown recluse lies: http://insects.about.com/od/spiders/tp/brown-recluse-lies.htm Watched one of my NG buddies pack his would with cotton every day from a bite. (I have never been NG, "NG" and "Buddy" are independent.) You want to say they are this, or they are that, or they are indigenous, or they are not. Fine. Not my yob. People get bit by them at Ft. Dix all the time, or at least did in the late 80s early 90s.
intercooler 41 Posted October 20, 2014 Nick , I bayoneted it with an ak bayonet
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted October 20, 2014 Why not mosin bayonet? You can stay out a lot farther.
intercooler 41 Posted October 20, 2014 Yea, I grabbed the one that was closest. Plus if I grabbed the mosin, it guarantees I stab the ceiling before anything else....
vladtepes 1,060 Posted October 21, 2014 I absolutely HATE spiders... but with that said.. spiders dont really want to bite you.. they would rather just get away from you..
HBecwithFn7 296 Posted October 21, 2014 OK all you spider experts, what's this one? It's spun a pretty decent web out side the front door of the rental house at which I'm staying in Florida (partially attached to the screen door, I think). Every time I open the door, it moves to the far end of the web and lets me through. But it comes back to the center of the web, when I close the door. I think we've come to an understanding, this spider and I... We respect each other. It doesn't make any moves towards me as I pass through, and I let it keep its web. Been that way for almost two weeks now. One week to go.... We'll see. ------- Florida Spider Up Close View
