Remember, there are 7 known coronaviruses. The first 4 are the common cold. Many people who tested positive for Covid reported minor "cold like" symptoms. It effects people differently, probably based on the strength of their immune systems or antibodies in their systems.

The AG said if people have 20 of their closest friends over, we're going to break it up and potentially charge you with (he listed a handful of charges). He also identified quite a number of business that they were planning enforcement actions against. Can they legally do it? Who knows. Does it matter much? No, not really. They are going to enforce these things and good luck going bankrupt trying to sue over it long after they've shut you down.
Indianajonze 379 Posted March 23, 2020 so the question then is, what's to stop them from doing this at any time during the year? or is it only during a viral outbreak that these extra-constitutional powers manifest themselves? does it need to be during a specific outbreak? what if it's a particularly nasty flu season? flu season is bad this year, so until further notice we're suspending 2A, forcing private companies to close and will arrest you if you have friends over your house 1

I think based on the science we should do some things. It goes back to personal responsibility. would I have a party with 20 people currently? No it seems a foolish enterprise to entertain. Am I going to travel to ck on people, yes. Can I do it after 8 pm? Why not. am I going to congregate with others at a bar or restaurant? No. That seems foolish as well.

The difference is "FLU" is baked into the cake. We have facilities, treatments, expectations, etc. It's all known and regular. Even "tough" flu seasons. This ain't the flu. New York hospitals will probably be sending patients out to those military ships and the "field hospitals" being set up within the next two weeks. They will be FULL. That's NOT normal. None of this is normal. If the hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin treatment starts denting this disease, we will probably start getting back to something like normal in a month. Until then, Murphy gets to wield extraordinary powers and like it or not, it is what it is. It's not a "firing squad" offense, now anyway.

I read that Grewal authorized release of about 1000 held in county jails for "low level offenses". County prosecutors can appeal to Grewal if they want to keep someone locked up. The NJ AG has no authority to release anyone being lodged in a state or county facility for the Federal government for any reason. That would include ICE detainees. Besides, the Federal government pays a daily rate for each prisoner. The state or county makes money from this.

I think remember hearing that their hospital bed usage was in the upper 80% ranges (maybe from existing flu cases and other conditions?), before all this Covid stuff hit. The problem is the rate of infection is growing exponentially, mostly because of testing but also because it is showing how much spread of this there has been. 20,000 today is 40,000 in a few days, and 150,000 in weeks. No, it doesn't scale to infinity but two Flu season at the same time is the problem. Also, Flu generally doesn't use intubation/respirators and the serious cases(~5%) of this do. I just wish the media would sort them out, the serious ones instead of ALL cases, and stop the sensationalism. 5 minutes ago, xXxplosive said: For this virus to be natural, I'm starting to believe otherwise...….way to contagious, spread the world. Now anyone with the sniffles goes and gets tested. Yes, it's more contagious than flu, MERS, and Ebola. But it's less contagious than mumps and rubella. And it is MUCH less contagious than measles. That's true, but we need to go one step further, and instead of just talking contagious, we need to also include the severity of the virus. It needs to be qualified just how sick people get when they test positive. There are tons of people walking around TODAY, who actually are positive, and don't even know it. On the Diamond Princess in Japan, HALF that tested positive, were asymptomatic. That is a HUGE data point. 32 minutes ago, Handyman said: Nuke 'em till they glow, then shoot them in the dark.
