For those not on Facebook, here's the article I wrote & the still photos shared to me for publication: CONTAINS PHOTOS OF HARVESTED ANIMALS IN THE FIELD! CNJFO's SPRING HOG HUNT YIELDS FOND MEMORIES & FUNDS! 14 HUNTERS TACKLE FELLED TREES, MUD, BRUSH, AND SCORE! by Black Wire Media Monday April 29, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners' last Hog Hunt of the 2019 season was held Saturday April 27th on the 150 acre island in the middle of the Susquehanna River in Bainbridge, PA. It was EPIC! 14 hunters safely navigated felled trees everywhere, thickets of plant life over 10 feet high, gusty winds, mud holes and heavy brush to obtain their 275-300 pound hogs. Using hardware ranging from AR-15's to 12 ga. slugs, our hunter/patriots overcame all obstacles and each harvested a prime specimen with the expert assistance of our professional Guide Service. Proceeds from the hunt will go to our lawsuit fund to fight bad NJ gun laws. A big thanks to all involved! CNJFO HOG HUNTERS BRING HOME THE BACON! THE WELL ARMED WOMAN FIELD DRESS A HOG! by Black Wire Media Monday April 29, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us CNJFO members Jacquelyn Reid and Lorraine Crescimanno, both members of The Well Armed Woman, a national group responsible for training thousands of women how to safely & effectively use firearms in self-defense, are shown here teaming up to harvest one hog each & field dress Reid's hog. Reid is a Chapter Leader in both NJ & PA and Crescimanno is a NRA Range Safety Officer at her PA Chapter. A dozen additional hunters, all of whom are Coalition members and/or supporters, joined this sharpshooting duo for the fundraiser, but only Reid & Crescimanno field dressed a harvest. Lorraine's husband Len harvested his own hog, and caught up with the two ladies as fellow hunter & CNJFO member Christopher Quaglin videotaped the pair field dressing Reid's hog. Quaglin also shot the harvest video seen in yesterday's story. Ed Rucki wasn't camera shy either, and displayed his AR-10 (.308) & Ruger .454 Casull sidearm he used next to his harvest. Wild weeds 10 feet high, trees crashing to the ground in heavy wind gusts after a bad rainstorm and a tornado watch the day before, heavy brush you can't see through & boot-sucking mud to slog through on a 150 acre island in the middle of the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, PA. Perfect conditions for a challenging, end-of-season Hog Hunt fundraiser to benefit CNJFO's mission of providing 2nd Amendment education & awareness! Every hunter received a complimentary Goody Bag filled with useful gifts from NRA's newest member of its' Board of Directors, Anthony Colandro, owner of Gun For Hire's Woodland Park Range in Woodland Park, NJ. Gun For Hire is a Platinum Sponsor, supplying Goody Bags at all of our fundraisers! A prize raffle was held on the island during a lunch of previously Hog Hunt-ed brats & chips. Sponsored by NRA-ILA, Henry Repeating Arms, NJ Concealment Furniture, ANJRPC, Bullet Branch Cigar Humidors, and CNJFO. Eight hogs were delivered to CNJFO sponsor V. Roche & Son Butchers in Whitehouse Station, NJ for their expert processing & smoking, and are due back to our hunters in 2-3 weeks. Thanks to all of our hunters for your trust & continued support in our endeavors to enlighten the public about their loss of rights and why we need to ban together to defeat the Anti's! From our house to yours, enjoy your harvests & GOOD EATING!

Patrolman, yes I'd agree that they are not a good source of legal advice. However did you even take a look at who that email was written by? Not some rookie patrolman! Fundamentally the fcuking answer is right in front of you, just read the God damn email! The reason threads like this go out of control is because of fear mongers like you. If you want to play it extra super safe fine no one cares but the answer is right there for you to read

I feel sorry for you! NJSP said "NJ does not define what flash suppressor is." NJSP also said, "No restriction from maintaining loaded magazines as long as they are not in the firearm!" You heard it from the horses mouth yet you still wish to believe a lie! The PRNJ wants more people like you!

Aero Precision and Black Rifle Coffee are both top notch companies that we support and recommend. Aero Precision has incredibly high manufacturing standards, as a result of their ties to aerospace parts manufacturing. Their products always reach military grade standards of safety and quality, providing not just great quality, but amazing feeling and appearance as well. we are proud supplier Aero precision parts at our Flemington, NJ location. Black Rifle Coffee Company from veterans for people who love America. We are proud to sell Black Rifle Coffee Company’s coffee, as a portion of all their proceeds go to veterans, law enforcement members, firemen, and first responders.

In the United States everything is Legal unless its specifically written to be illegal. While NJ does not resemble most of the United States, It is in fact a part of the United States.

Brett is a 3%-er and a speaker at 2A Events such as NJSAFECON. We've had SEVERAL lengthy conversations about NJ gun laws. He & I agree on a lot of the minutia, interpretations, use of punctuation ("...OR LOCKED IN THE TRUNK OF AN AUTOMOBILE"), etc., etc. My well-published scenario of transporting a hand gun (wrapped in butcher's paper & tied w/ string---a "securely tied package") next to you on your front seat to a EXEMPT LOCATION (range, ffl, gunsmith) is deemed completely legal! I say this every time this "loaded mag" question comes up: NJ gun owners, in general, are ignorant and don't wanna invest the time to study the EXEMPTIONS & EXCEPTIONS, and instead, go on a laughable exploration of the statutes themselves LOOKING FOR PERMISSION TO DO SOMETHING COMPLETELY LEGAL. They might as well be looking for PERMISSION TO BREATHE AIR! All of your answers are to be found in the EXCEPTIONS & EXEMPTIONS, as all firearms in NJ are inherently ILLEGAL, and only exist in the hands of us serfs through the use of said EXEMPTIONS & EXCEPTIONS! Does the state of NJ give you permission to WIPE after going to the restroom? Seems there's quite a few here still looking for THAT one too... And kudos to @nuclearheli above. Just sayin'.....

I don't understand your entire position anymore. You asked a question, one that has been asked on these forums many times, and you were given the best answer anyone could possibly provide without being speculative. But it seems that you aren't really looking for an answer because if you won't accept the written guidance from the state firearms unit who exactly will you accept guidance from. If the purpose of your post is to point out that me and people like me that load their magazines and transport them are in grave danger of prosecution and you are trying to protect me from that prosecution I say thanks, but no thanks. You see everything you postulate regarding the laws and how law enforcement will interpret them is based on nothing, just paranoia, although I guess paranoia is something. For me my behavior when it comes to adhering to the laws regarding firearms in general comes from knowledge and actual face to face communications with the very law enforcement people that are the subject of your paranoia. I have had the opportunity to sit with these folks many times as a condition of my license, and also along with them in working groups to try to help clarify the policies and laws in this state. And contrary to your speculative unwarranted judgment of these people, they are actually very knowledgeable, helpful, supportive and in some cases good private customers of mine. Since there really doesn't seem to be any purpose to your post other than to vent your unwarranted bitch slapping of law enforcement I say just transport your magazines unloaded and let's drop this post altogether. You do what you need to do to feel comfortable, I will continue to do what I do as everyone on these forums should do. By the way, you do know that police need probable cause to search your vehicle and if you are stopped for a routine traffic violation you are not required to disclose that you are lawfully carrying firearms. That being said if you have given a police officer probable cause that will stand up in court for searching your vehicle you probably shouldn't have been carrying the firearms at that time in the first place. That is strictly my opinion, I don't have another written document to back that up. I could ask my contacts at the state police what constitutes probable cause to search your vehicle but even if they put that in writing for me you probably wouldn't believe it either so why waste my time.

Therein why it's called "hunting." The consummate hunter combines the skills of tracking, a bit of mystery understanding game movements, accurate shooting (bow or firearm) for a humane kill, the knowledge of an animal's reaction at the shot, more tracking for game retrieval, field dressing for proper care of the meat and maybe butchering if you're a DIY person.

Hey PK90, what's up. Where have I been hide'n? Away from this craziness. Just doing business, supporting gun owners, shooting matches and enjoying myself. Life is too short to debate the same old thing to death. There are so many lawyers and experts here nobody needs the factual opinion of a small part time dealer like me. Just servicing my customers and enjoying life.
  14. 2 points
As hunters we strive, hope , and pray that we make a quick, efficient, and humane kill. Reality is it just doesn't happen that often. It's not because someone may have made a "bad" shot it's just that the animal in that moment is tough. The will to live/survive is strong. Whether it's in a hunting scenario or at a slaughter house... pigs, cows, chickens...the extreme majority of them.... have a violent ending.

You're quite welcome and feel free to express your opinion on anything I post here. I always listen to folks that haven't seen what I've seen, as I learn from it. We're all firearms enthusiasts, and we all need to understand and wrap our heads around the multiple uses of these tools that "take the measure" and protect a free society. I personally started hunting very late in my "shooting career". I grew-up the son of a WW2 Vet in General Mark Clark's 5th Army that killed many Krauts (after landing at Anzio--a real blood bath if there ever was one!) with a Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) and Ma-Deuce .50 cal Heavy machine Gun in the Po Valley Campaign in Italy. He wasn't a Hunter of 4-legged creatures, and I was never taught the ways of the field until much later in life after he'd passed. My hunting mentor is 80 years old. We just shared wine over a nice lunch this afternoon. Hunting is as "American" as you can get! Hunters contribute YUGE sums of money to conservation programs all across the country. Many species would be extinct if not for conservation laws put in place at the request of skilled hunters. It's OK in my book if you never want to try doing it. I appreciate (more than you'll ever realize) your candidness and appreciation for respecting the rights of hunters in this experiment we call The United States ~R

Due to the popularity of the "Survivor" shows, Texas is planning to do one entitled: "Survivor - Texas-Style!" The lucky contestants will all start in Dallas, drive to Waco, Austin, San Antonio, then over to Houston and down to Brownsville. They will then proceed up to Del Rio, El Paso, Odessa, Midland, Lubbock, and Amarillo. From there they will go on to Abilene and Fort Worth, and finally , back to Dallas. Each contestant will be driving a pink Prius with 15 bumper stickers which will read: 1. "I'm A Democrat" 2. "Amnesty For Illegals" 3. "I Love RAP" 4. "Boycott Beef" 5 "I Voted For Obama" 6. "George Strait Sucks" 7. "Elect Hillary In 2020" 8. "Vote Eric Holder Texas Governor" 9. "Rosie O'Donnell Is A great role model" 10. "I Love Obama Care and Chuck Schumer" 11. "Kaepernick Is My Hero" 12. "I Side With Jane Fonda" 13. "It's all Bush's Fault” 14. "Islam Is A Peace-Loving Religion" - and the last sticker is; 15. "I'm Here To Confiscate Your Guns" The first contestant to make it back to Dallas alive wins.

Hello hello everyone! So who wants to go shoot but is too cheap or broke after buying new guns? One of the things I wanted to return to, in part due to being jelly of how well @67gtonut organized the RTSP shoot and @Krdshrk and @sota do the regular NJGF clay shoots at Clinton.... is doing regular community meetups like we did 10 years ago when the site was launched. The goal is to eventually have a regular weekday, once a week at least, at a range throughout the state. The first one I was able to hammer down is right where it all started, Brick Armory, Garden State Shooting Center. Thanks to Tony @tj462nj and crew, GSSC is going to host NJGF members the first Tuesday of every month. Best of all, Garden State Shooting Center is offering some AMAZING discounts for NJGF Members! $5 per person walk on! $5 gun rentals! Member pricing on ammo! Furthermore, if anyone joins GSSC, they get 2 months free membership! Thank you Tony and GSSC. I will be there at the first one and try to attend monthly. Will try to bring some new fun and exciting toys for folks to try (that are Jersey legit!) Range is open until 10PM so let's plan for 7PM?

I have several Taurus revolvers. J, K, and N frame size. The only problems I've had were: 1. 669 (66 with full underlug)- after a bazillion 357s the rear sight loosened and fell off. Mostly my fault as I should have noticed when the screw was loosening. BTW there is no flame cutting on the top strap. A K frame S&W 357 would have had flame cutting long ago. 2. 327 (J frame size 327 magnum)- bought new and timing was off right out of the box. I figured something like that had to happen to me sometime. I've seen several brand new S&Ws and...OMG...Pythons come from the factory with similar issues. I sent the guns to Taurus and had them back in 2 weeks. The major downside to Taurus revolvers is the DA trigger is not as good as a S&W. Neither is a Ruger. The trigger is something you can work with. I have no issue with Taurus' fit, finish, or reliability. I have carried them for social work with no reservations.

Think there is less to this than meets the eye. My understanding is this only allows individual school districts to implement such, it does not force them to. Thus it is up to each district to now approve this. It's a baby step, but I guess it is a start.
  25. 1 point
Well, there's a lot of people with Taurus Judge's and I don't hear a lot about QC issues. The Revolvers are generally pretty ok from what I've heard, but I could be way off.

Good enough for me! Thanks for posting that.
  27. 1 point
whoa, thanks for bringing it up. It looks great for sure. As you bring it up though, it is Taurus so the QC will be questionable. Some of their new products do seem well made. What gets me will be the price... $910 MSRP... for a Taurus? Tough to justify. Will try to request one to review though, you can come and play with it.

I wanted a take-down Ruger but didn't want to spend the cash on one. I was pleased when I saw Promag's new stock. I have a QBD stock that I picked up for $105 at CenterFireGuns (https://www.centerfireguns.com/promag-arch-qd-breakdown-stock-10-22-blk-aaqbd.html) and it isn't perfect, but I like it for what it is; it is well-made and works well. To have a take-down for a Benjamin I couldn't be happier. I have seen it at a lot of prices from $130 up to about $190. I don't think I would pay more than say $130 for it... It is on the smallish side, but hey, that's what a take-down stock is for. If I lived in free America it would easily fit in a backpack when venturing out and it seems to have a smaller footprint than a 10/22 Take-down with a carbine 10/22 barrel. A mounted scope holds its zero when broken down and put together. Those two little bolts that hold the barrel on can be a pain to take off the stock Ruger. I will be interested in seeing if and what the second generation QBD stock will be like. Many online vendors don't want to ship it to NJ, as they consider it a "folding" stock. I would have thought that it would have been more popular by now, and, it is perfect for "recycling" an old 10/22. It is suppose to function equally with the bull barrel or tapered carbine, but I think the shorter carbine barrel is more suited to its little footprint and purpose. A take-down 22, whether this or a Papoose, should be standard in anyone's battery of arms. Maybe the new AR7s by Henry are OK, but the older Charter Arms ones aren't too good. Lastly, there are millions of regular 10/22s and maybe not as many take-down ones, and I am not sure if all the parts are similar and the standard 10/22 would get my vote with MORE parts availability. Thompson should connect with ARchangel on this. And if they do well, maybe they can send me a copy of their joint product to test. The Hardwood Stock version on the TCR22 might be nice and I would be interested. If i was in the market for a Ruger 10/22, I would definitely opt for the TCR22, as you certainly could not get those upgrades on a standard Ruger at that price point! The QBD might not be as comfortable as the standard Thompson stock, but would work nicely for specific applications. Many people don't like the rotary Ruger magazines, but I love the fact that they are flush. I love the fact that the TCR22 also uses them ad that you also haven the bolt-open option with their magazines and that there is a place to ad a bipod. They need to stop coming out with new guns and/or I need to find a better way of replacing older ones.

Letter to My Boss: I have enjoyed working here these past several years. You have paid me very well and given me benefits beyond belief. Have 3-4 months off per year and a pension plan that will pay my salary till the day I die and then pay my estate one year salary death bonus and then continue to pay my spouse my salary with increases until she or he dies and a health plan that most people can only dream of having . Despite this, I plan to take the next 12-18 months to seek a new position. During this time I will show up for work when it is convenient for me. In addition, I fully expect to draw my full salary and all the other perks associated with my current job. Oh yes, if my search for this new job proves fruitless, I will be coming back with no loss in pay or status. Before you say anything, remember that you have no choice in this matter. I can, and I will do this. Sincerely, Every Senator or Congressman running for President Come to think of it, that's not really that funny.

#40 BOB, THE MRS, ROSEY, AND 42 OTHERS ATTEND CNJFO WING-DING AND MEET & GREET! NJ PATRIOTS ATTEND CNJFO's 2ND ANNUAL "WING-DING"! FIGHTING BAD GUN LAW TAKES MORE THAN CHICKEN FEED! by Black Wire Media Friday April 12, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Membership or gun ownership wasn't required at the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners' 2nd annual "Wing-Ding and Meet & Greet" held Wednesday April 10th at Manville Pizza and Restaurant Est. 1969 in Manville, NJ. The only requirements were an appetite, a love of the Second Amendment and a willingness to help. Six new and/or renewing members were inspired by our progress and joined at the party. They each received their complimentary t-shirt, then helped the other 40 members, guests, friends and sponsors inhale 200 pounds of gourmet wings, pizza, fountain drinks and zeppoles. Swag from Henry Repeating Arms Co., NJ Concealment Furniture, ANJRPC, Black Bag Resources, NRA-ILA and CNJFO were raffled and a 50-50 was won and donated back to us by ANJRPC News & Briefs Editor Marjorie Kleiman. This was the second time the Coalition held this fundraiser at owner Anthony D'Aniello's restaurant, in his family since 1969. D'Aniello, a NRA Benefactor Life Member, hunter, and #2AHeavyLifter, brings in extra staff to deep-fry his delicious wings and set-up a buffet table near his counter. Old Bay, BBQ, Buffalo, and Sesame-Pineapple w/ bacon crumble wings were all devoured by the capacity crowd that traveled from as far as Brick, Rockaway, Nazareth, PA and many points unknown. Matthew Andras, CNJFO President, welcomed everyone and thanked them for their support. Will Korman, Shows & Community Outreach Committee Chair, assisted by committee member Nick Wong, sold tickets for swag raffle and accepted memberships & renewals, and Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal emceed the event and called ticket numbers. Eric Saperstein, our Youth Shooting Chair, made the rounds and thanked folks for volunteering for our upcoming (sold-out!) June 23rd Youth Day at the Range. The Coalition is a FAMILY! Members and guests from Rockaway to Brick and all points in-between chowed-down on Old Bay, BBQ, Buffalo, and Pineapple infused wings made by owner & NRA Benefactor Life Member Anthony D'Aniello and staff. In addition to Nutella-covered wings and complimentary zeppoles, ala-carte cannoli was also offered for dessert. CNJFO sponsor and member Dan Ingram, President of NJ Concealment Furniture, presented restaurant owner Anthony D'Aniello with a custom wooden US flag plaque adorned with an outline of Italy, which was immediately hung proudly on his restaurants' wall. The Wing-Ding, now in its' second year, was also the official "coming out party" for the Coalition's newest advertising banners, some of which feature famed gun sports Photog Oleg Volk's imagery. CNJFO wishes to thank everyone that supported us last night. Without our committee members, general members, friends and sponsors stepping up to make these social events such a huge success, we wouldn't be able to do things like run matching funds campaigns that have thus far yielded $17,000.00 in direct financial aid to LAWSUITS & Amicus Briefs going to or on their way to the US Supreme Court!
