If you were to leave NJ

Recommended Posts

PA is looking better and better, but I'm getting musical:

I'm dreaming of a red state

Just like the ones I used to know

where the ar's glisten

and children listen

to 22's popping off squirrels as we go...

Getting into the holiday spirit??

Yeah, I'm one of the elves. Please don't let that mental picture disturb you.:lol:

I was planning on buying land here in Colorado before moving to Jersey to come back and vacation and eventually retire on, I'd be happier than **** on a stick if my missus gave up on NJ sooner than that though.

My wife is from Colorado so she is just waiting for my son to be old enough to go back. Right now, all the grandparents help with daycare and as soon as he is old enough to go to school - Hello freedom!

Any recommendations of nice towns for outdoors people?

She is from gypsum which is a little too far away from civilization for her!

There are way too many to be named... it really depends though. Would you want to be on the front range or further west into the actual Rockies?

where would you go if you were to leave NJ, according to jim gearhart on 101.5 taxes are suppose to continually increase. They also announced that the public sector has now outgrown the private sector. So if taxes force you out of the state im just wondering what state you would consider moving to.

Colorado or Wyoming.

Wyoming has the best tax environment to boot.

I'll retire in a bit over 2.5 years. After some research I've decided to check out some places in the southern states starting with some of the areas outside of Columbia, SC. It will definitely be to an area where I can legally carry without more than a minimal amount of administrative BS. Having been on the wrong end of a mugging/stabbing years ago, accessible CCW is now a non-negotiable issue.
