New guy from central jersey, 1911 pron inside

Whats up guys... saw the link to this site on bad64chevelle's facebook page of all places

Seems like a cool place to hang so I figured I'd join and contribute my minor amount of firearm knowledge.

Anywho if anyone's interested, I'm into cars and guns, though most of my shooting takes place prepping for hunting season.

Currently have in the home safe a Springfield 1911, Remington 870 express, Remington nylon 77, and some old .22mag rifle.

Only have pics of the 1911:

And a shot of my ugly mug after a day in the woods:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Welcome. Like the springer. But you need to send them grips back. The manufacturere missed these in QC. They ran the ball mill to far in the top left corner. They are not supposed to break through like that.

Don't they need to be milled that far for the ambidextrous safety?

jOn, I cant say 100% that Im right BUT I havent seen a pair even on ambi guns that had the ball cuts all the way through like yours. A search of a few online pics and they were not all the way through either.

Meh... oh well doesn't seem to affect the function of the gun in anyway, plus the grips were bought by the previous owner. I have the stock wooden ones too but the grippers just look way better IMO.
