Rumor... New Glock?

Did anybody hear about a possible new Glock being a modified G30 (.45 ACP) with a Glock 36 slide (slimmer) on it giving a slimmer gun w/ 9-10 +1 capacity and a size similar to a G26? That would make a nice carry gun and give the XDS some competition... The Glock G30S! I guess the trade off would be that you wouldn't be able to use G21 magazines.

If it is true I think its pointless... carry a 30 if u want that capacity. Plus the wider grips makes easoer for bigger hands

From an armorers prospective, the Glock 36 is the bastard child of the Glock lineup. They share almost no parts with the normal glock line, don't sell well, and really don't give you much over a Glock 30.

Edit: It looks like its true, there will be a 30S.

 

It will still be the size of the 19/23 not the 26 since it is a 30 frame. You would be able to use 21 mags, since it is still a 30 frame.

I may be wrong but this just seems like something else photoshopped up just like the glock 1911. So the slide is a little thinner, the frame is still much wider so whats the point?

Not sure if it is photoshopped or not, but dealers such as glockmeister have them on order.

 

The point is the slide is thinner. The 30 slide is very thick, same as the 21, making it hard for IWB carry. People have been putting their 36 slide on the 30's for a while now with great success. Apparently there is a market for it.

A Glock single stack 9mm/.40S&W sub-compact would blow the lid off the pocket pistol market and would go head to head with the M&P Shield. I have a BG380 and can't put it down; I carry the thing around the house all the time. The wife and kids are clueless it is in my pocket. The only thing I would have rather had was a 9mm instead of a .380ACP. I have a G26 but it is far too heavy and bulky to be an effective pocket gun.

Putting the thinner 36 slide on a 30 and being able to use full-size magazines, how could that be wrong? If I was going to buy a Glock 45, then I would strongly consider this one. The only thing that gives the standard 30 a plus is that it might have parts sharing with the 21.

 

A single-stack 9mm Glock, or even a Glock 22 would be awesome. I love the S&W Shield, but if a Glock single-stack 9mm came out, I would probably switch up.

 

Not to change the Subject, but I wish an M&P the size of a Glock 19 was available, especially one with the new Shield trigger. And, I know S&W has the M&P 22, but a Shield 22 would also be an awesome item for training and plinking.

Personally I would want a .45 in the same size as the G19. That's just me, tho. The 19 is the perfect fit in my hand.

I have both a 19 and a 30 and the 30 is almost the same size (with exception to thickness) as my 19.
