Great piece. I hate when people say "the founding fathers wrote the 2A when weapons were nothing like they are today! If they were alive today they would not have written it in the same way!" It had nothing to do with the type of weapons.

OMG! For a young fellow, he's actually reporting on US History that I was taught in my PUBLIC high school in S.Jersey, many, many, many gray hairs ago and something I know isn't taught as it should be today. Bravo.

One thing that I think he should've mentioned is that, I think, the Founding Fathers' idea was to prevent the government from becoming a dictatorship or a totalitarian monarchy. To avoid US citizens from becoming victims as they were to England before the revolution.

Overall still a great piece of journalism.
