Let's have some fun with this.

I have Jury Duty in New Brunswick on April 17th. I plan on wearing a pro-gun t-shirt. Which should I wear?

Shirt #1: Keep Calm and Carry On:

Shirt #2: Guns Don't Kill People, Crazy People Kill People (Occasionally they use knives or something):

Shirt #3: A Long Time Ago...

Shirt #4: Keep Calm and Kill Zombies (Not really Pro-Gun but fun):

Shirt #5: Eats, Shoots and Leaves (Not as pro-gun but it has one on it)

Shirt #6: NJGF T-shirt (W/ BRASSF n back)

Yes they do. But if it were your job to provide security wouldn't you pay extra attention to someone wearing that shirt?

LOL...yep. But I would pay extra attention to everyone. Speaking of...a West Virginia Sheriff was shot today in front of a courthouse while eating his lunch. (you can find it by searching news)

Why not dress appropriately? I don't see how wearing a pro gun or pro violence shirt is the proper attire.

I have served twice in New Brunswick and once in Monmouth. The judge will not appreciate it. The judge can make your stay longer then anticipated.

+1 for appropriate attire. It's part of your civic duty and whether or not you respect the obligation, you should do your part to raise the standard. The jury box is not a soapbox.

I have an idea.

Why don't you dress professionally and take your civic responsibilities seriously?

If you were a defendant (let's face it, for most of us that can become a reality with the stroke of the Governor's pen) wouldn't you want a jury made up of intelligent responsible and articulate men and women deciding your fate?

Would you want to look at your jury and see a bunch of cheesy personal agenda tshirts (whether you agree with the sentiment or not) in the Jury pool?

ETA: Looks like a few of us had the same idea simultaneously.

I never understood the "appropriate attire" thing. Who's to say that the suit and tie is not the appropriate thing to wear?
