MidwestPX- call them and ask for a free sample and they will send you one so you can sample their product to see if you like it. They send them out all the time.

Hi, yes I have purchased Wise products (directly from them in my case). Am on a business trip but will update my post with specifics when I get back. I first obtained and tried a sample. Tasted quite good when prepared. Based on that, I subsequently purchased their 240 meal bucket(s). I plan to purchase more once I have the funds available.

Would I be wrong to assume that this stuff would only be eaten on day 17 of a prolonged truck strike, or if you're stuck in your car under 12 feet of snow?

Keep in mind, the protein in these meals is Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) aka soy.  So don't expect the lasagna to taste like mom's.   And there is some conflicting data as to whether the phytoestrogens in soy are bad for men (and growing boys).

Soy protein is better then no protein in disaster situation. I would not go living on it for 6 months, but it will get the job done.

Very true.  I have some in my stores.  But was just giving people a heads up that the "meat" in those pails ain't meat!   It's hard to find big pails that have actual dehydrated or freeze dried meat in them.  I am always on the lookout for Mountain House sales.  Their stuff is very tasty and made w. real meat.  But it's usually not inexpensive.

I thought about it, occasionally I would buy ammo from Cope’s and noticed that they sell Wise, I’d thought about trying it but never got around to testing it. If you do sell them are you going to sell the stoves too? 25 year shelf life, I'd have to will it to someone LOL. Anyhow I’ll follow the thread and see what kind of pricing you get but as mentioned above I should probably test it first…
