Two realtors caught having an affair in a for sale house

And of course what state did they do it in? I'll leave that up to you to guess.

 

I heard some people used to even use for sale houses to film porn movies. Some guy found that out after he saw his house in a porn movie, LOL.

happened right in my home town. I heard about it maybe 2 years ago when it happened. Hes a "Big time" realtor in the area, kind of a scumbag if you ask me. screws alot of people on deals.

Yes, that is the basis for the suit. And yes, the story is somewhat old. I saw that there was a piece on TV last night about it, but it was in the local papers several weeks ago, and apparently the activity was a couple of years ago.

 

The guy lives near me, and I sometimes see him when we're both out running. We know each other casually and exchange greetings, but not surprisingly, this subject never comes up.

A lawsuit? Really? Suing for emotional distress?

 

It is ethically wrong, but no big deal IMO. I doubt he actually listed it higher just so he could shack up.

Recently some company had an adult "Pajama Party" at a kids daycare facility.  They were wrapped up and gone before the kids arrived, but someone posted photo's of woman jumping in the ballpit....gigglenort...ballpit...and the yenta's all went ballistic about how they were going to sue the day care facility and how they wanted it disinfected and such.

He's suing because the Realtor listed the price of the home artificially high so nobody would buy it and he could keep his little Boink Nest.

Homeowner ultimately set the price of the house. The realtor can suggest a different price but they don't overrule the homeowner. If you agree on a high price it's your own fault. If the realtor didn't put a price cut thru or something similar they probably have a case.

That's not true... Homeowners will listen to realtors that are not in the know. So if he set the price, (I'm sure he got them excited by all the money they could make)...they'd listen.

 

 

Homeowner ultimately set the price of the house. The realtor can suggest a different price but they don't overrule the homeowner. If you agree on a high price it's your own fault. If the realtor didn't put a price cut thru or something similar they probably have a case.

The realtor may suggest a price, not set it. If you blindly trust a middle man who makes commission off the sale of your house without doing research on the comps in your area you are a fool. Especially in the age of the internet where you can go on zillow.com via your freaken phone and see the comparable sales in your area. I'm not saying they deserved to get taken advantage of but they are idiots. Buying and selling your house is probably the biggest financial move you will make in your life. To not educate yourself is foolish at best.

I'm not disagreeing with you. (I was a realtor at one time for a couple companies one of which was Weichert)... The point is, there ARE naive people out there and people not in the know. Old people, stubborn people and more. We had this house just down for me that fought tooth and nail to set the price real high because they, (the owners), insisted that the house was (unrealistically), worth more than what the realtor said it was. They posted it at the owners price and it sat there. This was a couple years ago... Guess what, they still are there today and the house is not on the market. People are ignorant, naive and stubborn sometimes. Let's not forget the senior citizens that also may not know better.

Real Estate can be one of the most crooked businesses around. They are what screwed up the housing market. Not just the banks. This is why I cannot work in that business any more. Couldn't take the crap thrown at us. If you think people are 110% in the know today, you are seriously wrong. It just isn't there yet. Good proof of that is in our 2A world. Fiction still out-ranks fact with some of these morons!
