OK, so I post a thought-provoking timely article. But then @Krdshrk super-sizes the pic of the sexy girl... throwing meat to the NJGF wolves... and making them happy. I guess that's why he's the Best Mod Ever! I have much to learn.

Last night's conference call had 3 people on it (CNJFO President Matt Andras & 2 Tea Party guys from Monmouth Co. Tea Party) w/o the involvement of the guys running it. Last week's conference call didn't happen. There might be a REAL one tonight or tomorrow night? In short, I'm starting to have HUGE doubts about the organizers, their logistic capabilities, funding, etc. We've heard the permit was extended to 3 hours and only 14 speakers are scheduled. I spoke to Colandro last Thursday night while I was attending Tony Simon's Diversity Shoot. Anthony wasn't asked to speak YET! Cheeseman & I were on the phone today. Mark was just told to show-up, not how long he'll be on stage or anything else. There's rumors of no sound system & maybe someone will have a bullhorn! The assembly permit requires port-o-johns if more than 200 people show-up, and to my knowledge, NO port-o-johns have been ordered... The list goes on & on. To me, this looks like a half-assed attempt at best. At worst it's a Klusterf&*k. NO ONE has told me I'm speaking yet. No calls, emails or nuthin', but Matt confirmed a CNJFO speaker has a slot. THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN AN EVENT! If someone here has a friend that's got a friend that KNOWS sumthin', PLEASE have someone call me! I wish I had better news folks! Rosey

I wonder what she’s getting more hate for: the handgun or the Trump shirt.

I read the article once, looked at the photo many, many times though. Just trying to identify the gun

^^^Truly great advice from a true Patriot. Up to tonight I've kept completely quiet about the details & lack thereof in hope that things would all work themselves out, in hope that all of my insecurities would vanish. I still have that HOPE! I also have a huge responsibility to be truthful when backed into a corner. Several members here want answers, and Lord knows I'm trying to provide them. I want this thing to be as successful as it can be! I just don't wanna be blamed IF things go wrong & folks here (and on Facebook btw) blame any lackluster "shine" on CNJFO or myself. There was supposed to be a conference call tonight. I haven't heard from Matt Andras yet & I'm hittin' the sack in less than an hour. Several members & Mods here are CNJFO members as well, and most of them know what's going-on because they can read our internal comms page, so it's not a surprise. I intend upon going to this Rally! And everyone here should as well! Just don't expect what you saw on March 26th as far as logistics & such. Hoping the kinks get worked-out! Thanks again for all you do! Rosey

I disagree. She's cute. She's been dealing with creeps and perverts for a long time. I'm too old to know what happens on social media but I guarantee she's had her share of pervs on there too. She looks like she's going to be able to take care of herself just fine and if you read her tweets back at the anti's, she isn't letting anyone push her around. Dad should be very proud.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe those boomers are smart enough to know not to put their complete history, friends, personal facts and assorted other personal items out on a web site they DON'T control and have no idea where that information is going? Maybe the younger generations are the incompetent ones.....
  10. 3 points
To be fair, this the difference between some group brainstorming an idea and saying, "Hey, let's do this around the whole country! Woo-hoo!!!" - and then completely underestimating what's involved in pulling that off smoothly (permits, advance notice/hold the date, A/V equipment, port-a-potties, etc., etc. - in FIFTY different state capitols) vs. a local NRA affiliate (ANJRPC) who's done this before in Trenton and intimately knows the requirements for that location. Soo... apples vs. oranges? Mind you, I'm not criticizing the group that came up with the idea... but things like that need a lot of coordination to execute them smoothly. Sooo...I would say, if you're going...plan to chill-ax...and go simply with the goal of community-building and meeting like-minded people. Since the T-shirt debacle is never-ending... perhaps we need some kind of secret symbol to identify the NJGF members (does anyone remember "The Sting"?) LMAO!!

Thanks for your gentlemanly restraint. And yes, we'll have to do a shotgun shootout soon - and if you come, you don't need a shotgun. There are always plenty on loan from their generous owners.

    1. When t-shirts become available, I would like one. I actually like the blue color used in the CNJFO rally shirts. Just "sayen" 2. I say "when" they are available because I have faith that Peel's power will increase dramatically as she whips everyone into shape. You know who you are... 3. I await my invitation to Peel's Party. Should I hold my breath? 4. More to come as watch Peel wield her new-found power.

My personal feeling about the data mining that FB (and other social media) does, borders on insidious. The mere fact that people WILLINGLY put their personal information on a website such as that makes me shudder. Every click you make, every site you visit, every person or business you connect with builds an extremely detailed profile about you, and everyone you know. How you think. How you process information. Not to mention that they use this data profile not only to target advertising directly to you, but to target political/social ‘opinions’, and the mass of other (mis)information to you to sway the way you think scares the crap out of me. Orwell was right....just a few years off the mark.

Where I am, during Sandy, generators running outside were being stolen during the night.....also when I heard over my scanner that "All emergency services were suspended"...it was time to arm up....no one is coming. Most of my neighbors left, no one was around and the nights were dark without any outside lighting from the homes on my block...time to hunker down and defend what's yours....it was a good 9 days of actual training for a worse case scenario that could happen....and the areas you mention in Essex County....those are the ones that will be coming for what's yours after theirs are gone.......

If only there was some kind of thing, made out of some kind of printable material, which could be put over one's body, to advertise one is a member of this forum. ... ... I've got it! We all need sandwich boards saying we are NJGF members! Or we all need to print up shirts... ...with our own avatars (and name) on the front and back.

I'm really not one to judge, but given my general fitness condition/Shape, i'd advise against this. That's nothin ya want to see. In fact, out of respect i'll be sure to put an extra layer on if i show up. First i have to find a shotgun..

Ok, so we know that at least one shirt exists. If one has a shirt all should have a shirt! Power to the peons (non-mods)!

Well, to be fair, all my talk about "we're all adults" and my non-censorship stance... my dear Mr. Dogood, that was all well before the corruption set in! Now, today... I'm a walking advertisement for why we need a 2nd amendment. If tyranny and nanny state overreach can set in so quickly with an unpaid moderator role... well, then... are any of us really safe?
  28. 2 points
“Frankly, we're all adults” New mods definitely need better facts ...

I don't own any guns that I cant get my pinkie on the grip. I only have the extended mags for my shield and all my other handguns are full size except for my J frame which has combat grips on it. I have no need for a gun that I can not grip well. I do need to practace more with handguns though. Once I get my reloading bench set up at the new house and can crank out some ammo. I'm down to my reserves in the ammo dept. None of this changes the fact that I would like to be the gun tucked in her waist band.

My plan it so bug-in, not bug-out. Considering if I'm bugging out, there's a damn good chance everyone else is doing the same, and since I'm in a populated area, i'd be all but fucked to get any place. Plus, where would I go? If there's problems here there's problems near by I'd bet, at least within a 100 mile radius (or more.) No, I'll stay here, armed to the teeth, hopped up on redbull and viagra.

If you click on the girl's photo in the article, it takes you to her twitter feed. I like this girl! Spunky, smart, articulate. NRA needs to grab her up.
  35. 2 points
Sign her up. A young woman helps dispel the myth that guns are just for old white guys like me. That's part of why the media hates this.

NRA's next spokeswoman... she's pretty cute too.

I would really like to announce and Thank Mrs. Peel for joining the ranks of a fellow moderator. I needed a fresh set of eyes and help with keeping up with all the threads on here as of late. Nick does a great job of helping me, but as of late, it has been tough to keep up with.... I have no doubt with Mrs. Peel's help..... we can make this into an even more enjoyable forum then it already is.... To everyone that has PM'd me as of late asking for the forum to get back under control on certain subjects..... All I can say is, we will try.... To remind everyone..... This forum was built as designed for the Hobby/Sport of Firearm ownership.... The Main sections of the forum will continue to be about that..... I have moved the Gun Law stuff to its own section on the Main page..... It is simply divided between Current and Pending Gun Law Discussion. I know some threads will have political subjects..... they will be tolerated when dealing with the law itself.... ALL other political posts WILL be moved to the 1A section. If we move a thread into the 1A section, it is NOT punishment. It allows you to freely discuss a subject without Search Engines finding the thread and exposing us in an unfriendly light to the Anti crowd. As far as the PG-13 aspect of the Main Forum...... This is how the Owner of the forum and I want it to be..... IF you do not agree with it, that is your right. But it will not change how I run this forum. I will continue to try and make the Main areas of the forum open and available to all members to feel free to ask questions and gain knowledge of this hobby/sport we are all so passionate about. I know this is a tough time for all of us..... but fighting amongst each other will get us nowhere ...... keep it civil and keep your minds open to other trains of thought....

I cant see this being legal If he's publicly renting apartments. Maybe if he was renting rooms possibly. Did i read this right that he asked the landlord about getting a firearm? Did he also ask if he can vote? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

What's your website I'd like to check it out?
  49. 1 point
That's not entirely true. If it's owner occupied, then the landlord has more say but it has to be in the lease. If not owner occupied, like a single family house, a quadplex or an apartment complex, then the landlord can go pound sand.
