I'm trying to see if CNJFO can get "permission" to flip some burgers for the event as a way to "give-back" to those that supported the Rally in Trenton & promote the shooting sports & hunting in particular. I've written today to a friend at NJF&W and I'm waiting for a response .

I literally don't know how much I've spent. The way I see it is if I don't actually know I can't really lie about it. There is something to be said for plausible deniability. I know I've gotten some good deals and had a shitload of fun. The fun was priceless.

Wouldn’t that count as an illegal transfer? She should turn you in.

Come on, really. Is this something we want to face? No. I'd rather stay in denial thanks.

You encourage her to try guns, she gets passionate about it, and now you HIDE her firearm purchases? Here's my take: that woman should be recognized as a saint by the church.... really by all churches everywhere and in all religious denominations (even those that don't normally canonize saints - that's how universal the respect and, yes, sympathy should be). Her sacrifice, patience and forbearance is truly the stuff of legend! Bow to her, Zeke.

Brother, it was nice knowing you. Before Mrs Z takes you out, please make sure she knows how to operate the thrower and charge the battery. The shotgun shoots must go on. Maybe we will have a Zeke for Mod memorial shoot in your honor.

A gun czar. Great - another NJ patronage job at our expense (of our tax dollars and our rights). Just curious, why is there no Hands, Fists or Feet Czar or a Knife Czar? Everyone is so concerned about "assault rifles", yet bare hands are used three times as often for murder in NJ than a rifle of any kind, and a cutting instrument (aka knife/razor) is used 14 times as often as a rifle. Do we need a Knife Czar? Moving on from murder, look at armed robbery - 65% of robberies use something other than a firearm, where's a Czar for that? And 85% of robberies are committed by blacks (65%) and Hispanics (20%). How about a Czar to look at that situation? Oh, I almost forgot. It has nothing to do with public safety. Just politics.

No this is a direct result of Liberal Firearms owners and other liberals moving to PA from NY and NJ. The same morons who say they are Pro Second Amendment but then go and vote Democrat. The same morons who complain about high taxes and move to PA for lower taxes, but then vote Democrat because the Republican candidate is Anti-Abortion. Liberals please stay in the hell holes you have created. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I know a good percentage of you guys hide your ammo and firearms related purchases from your significant others. But! Is it wrong to hide my wife’s purchases when they show up? He,he,he.... cough

I was told at FedEx/Kinkos I had to take it to the hub. Only a few miles from me so it wasn’t a huge deal. They took it at the hub with no issues.

I'm going to throw this out for your consideration... some of these groups have felt attacked in recent years, not ONLY by anti-2A folks but even by other presumably pro-2A individuals and groups. So, I can only imagine that's made them a bit leery...that's a shame, but it's also perfectly understandable IMO. So, unless these groups that you approached really know you (like you've had a long history of volunteering for them in other less sensitive roles), you're really just a stranger to them and that means "risk". What if you're a hothead and you piss off a prospective donor? What if you don't like the way the org is doing something, and you blab about it to the press? or on the Internet? I'm not saying you personally would do any of those things... but how would they know that? They're bound to harbor those doubts about any virtual stranger! As someone who once served on the board of a non-profit, I know I personally wouldn't just hand over big donor fundraising to someone I didn't trust implicitly. It's too sensitive a role. I know you're frustrated right now with the situation... I get it, I really do. But, I think (in your frustration) you're not considering other perspectives.

If you really wanna HOOK him, take him to the Cricket factory in PA and let HIM press the button of the CNC machine to make HIS rifle! The Second Amendment Women did just that a coupla years ago and my friend went with her son to do it!

Once upon a time I had an 03 FFL too, and I understand your gripes there. I am, however, somewhat confused by your comments on leadership. You state that you're a non-participant and decline to donate; you're a lone collector that keeps to yourself and on the outside looking in. As an avowed non-participant, how would you know if the leadership is "stale" or not? By your very definition, you have essentially no interaction with them.

The Regional Superintendent wrote back to me & gave us permission to set-up a picnic (during the business week--morning or afternoon) so long as we pay a $50 permit fee for "Special Use Permit", provide $1 million in liability insurance & name the state as an additional insured (insurance will cost us approx. $100). I have the application in a pdf. But weekends are OUT due to heavy usage of the ranges. And NO, I didn't specify a DATE when asking so no one knows the exact details. The Coalition would proudly support a weekday afternoon "Eat & Shoot" during the summer. So IF there's enough interest HERE I'll run it up the flagpole at our Executive Committee meeting? I was trying to say "thank-you" to all of YOU that have joined or made the Rally So we can still just have a regular "Meet-Up" on May 26th... Rosey

It doesn't hurt, but I think the landscape would be more scenic with two (or three) Trump SC appointments. Scalia's "common use for lawful purposes"pretty much covers it all. The SC hears about 1% of the cases it's asked to. It can't take every crazy liberal judge who applies emotion over logic to a case by the hand. It doesn't have enough time. I don't think I really want the SC to hear another firearms case with its current makeup. After Kennedy and Ginsburg retire.

Disclaimer- I'm what you would consider a non participant. I don't go to rallies, I refuse to donate money to the nra or local orgs, etc. I'm a lone collector that keeps to himself as far as the gun community goes. From outside the box looking in I tend to agree with cap. Imo the leadership in this state is stale. It just seems like very little is done and people that reach out even are ignored. If you complain about it you will get barked at. Yes for people like myself to complain about it and have no skin in the game is also a big problem but it's us which imo are the majority of gun owners in the state that you need to fund etc. It's a bad problem that we have and no one has had any great answers for it. The 03 ffl is a funny thing. Not many here think much of it but us in the state that would use a c&r probably own a lot more firearms than the rest. We don't buy one mosin we dive into all the different variants of them which is a lot. Collect mausers ? Lol yoiu get the point. Now we have to pay on 01 a fee every time and up here that going rate is $50 for a single transfer! I feel your pain and frustration capt! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Then the members should have no trouble funding the lawsuit. Seriously, if it's important to you, make it happen. Lamenting that no one else is doing it for you, and that no one else is paying for it, isn't going to bring about change.

I guess we care the most about what affects us personally. This is not a criticism of you but of myself. I want to make that very clear. That being said, are we really supposed to get all rilled up over 187 C&R licenses in the state? Of all the offenses committed against the NJ gun owners that's where the scarce recourses -and let's be honest, NJ gun owners are as cheap ass as they come - should be spent? Do you know what I find egregious and where the money should be spent? OGAM, that's where, and on the whole P2P racket, and the evil feature game, the magazine capacity. W suffer all these affronts just to have a gun at home and to take to the range, pissing our pants on the way there and dying of hypoglycemia on the way home lest we make an unreasonable deviation. And I didn't even touch the whole CCW. The fact is we don't have big donors. Who are the Soros, the Ford foundation, the Styre, the Hollywood celebrities, the corporations of the gun rights that can write multimillion dollar checks on a dime? Where are the ACLU, the southern poverty center, and the other myriad of left wing organizations with lawsuits ready to be filled? We don't have any of that. We don't have the structure, the organization and our roladex is pretty thin. And the few wealthy individuals and organizations willing and able to help won't. They won't help because once they are found out the left wing terrorists will target them, and their families, and their livelihoods and everyone else that ever were In contact with them, and the death and rape threats will commence. So we are left with the NRA taking all the arrows, small statewide organizations, and us donating 5,10,20 dollars at the time.

I am not disputing a license or background check. The PP itself should be fought! My god, I have been thru 500 background checks, at least! Then the 1 every 30! Really, enough is enough! If I passed background checks for the last 25 years.and have a FFL, even though it is a C&R, Why the fuck do I have to get a PP for every handgun?
  30. 1 point
The process of having to get a PP should be the basis for a lawsuit!

When Mrs. Sniper sees the Fedex or UPS driver walking up the driveway, if he's strolling nicely, he has one of her packages. If he's almost getting a hernia carrying a different package, I hear a voice "here comes some more ammo" from the other side of the house... Heck, at least she could do is accept the delivery and bring it to me.. Geez...

I don't specifically hide anything from Mrs. Mustang - she just learned over the years not to ask - as have I. I'd show/tell her if she did but she knows that would probably just cause problems. Sometimes willful ignorance works best. Just like I have no clue how much her shoe collection is worth or why those two pairs of seemingly identical shoes in blue only match different outfits.

I would guess that there is no lawsuit because ANJRPC, NRA, et al know that they need to pick their battles due to finite resources.

Um....did YOU go to Trenton and voice your opinion earlier this year? There were two opportunities; were you there? I took the time to be there - I've got a farm AND a day job (unlike the 'paid' protesters on the Left.) So what is your 'true mission'? 2A rights or "uh ...I gotta work...."? The 'outings' you mention are one of the means that provides the cash to run these protests, lobby the elected reps, and drive-home the story to the Left that (a) they don't know what they're talking about, (b) it only impacts the lawful citizens; not the criminal element, and (c) its not an echo-chamber, there is opposition to their stupid plans! You mention your labor union....when the union heads came around and told you to vote Dem to 'save your job', 'get more contracts', or some other nonsense like that...did YOU speak-up and call BS on them? I know several who did at their union meetings. Walt Kelly was right; "we have met the enemy, and he is us..."
