1 pointThis is a public forum - keep it polite, pls! If you want to vent, open a diff thread in 1A Lounge. Were you aware there was a planned protest at the NRA HQ in Virginia yesterday? It was, in part, organized by the social justice network that supports (or is it: takes advantage of?) the "Parkland kids". I just caught an article on it - here's the link: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/protesters-including-parkland-students-rally-at-nra-offices-in-virginia/ar-BBLuzcw?ocid=spartandhp] A few observations: the speaker on that video clip is quoting that guns are the 2nd leading cause of death for young Latinos, and also pulling in a statement about Black Lives Matter - so, in other words, trying to conflate all the MANY deaths caused by gangbangers, etc. using ILLEGAL guns... while protesting in front of the organization that represents law-abiding LEGAL gun owners. I'm so sick of that technique - conflating things to make them look the same - it's the same as calling suicide by gun "gun violence" and lumping those numbers in with the gun crimes. Totally disingenuous. I'm also struck by how much the protest mirrors the other social justice movements - the calling out of special "identity groups" - making sure to say a few phrases in Spanish, etc. It really is formulaic. the article said there were "dozens" of protestors. Wow. In some respects, this movement seems to have really subsided. and yet somehow, a protest of only "dozens" still makes it as a lead story on the msn news site. Yep, no media manipulation there!

1 pointI think its a few reasons. 1. Purchases Made during the Obama Regime that they really did not want or need. 2. Prices have stabilized. 3. Murphy Anxiety (same folks that buy when worried, Might sell when worried) 4. Summer months are Hot and Humid... Not so much fun to shoot outdoors. 5. Pressure from wife 6. No Room in Safe.

1 pointNice choice. I recently purchased the GP100 in the limited production 5” version thru Davidson’s Gallery of Guns). Really good shooter and a beautiful piece of machinery.

1 pointThe 6 inch barreled 357 is the beez kneez. Less recoil, more power and looks dope. Good choice.

1 pointDon't bother, they are junk. If I was offered an SKS or an AK, I'd take the SKS all day.

1 pointIf this had been New Germany, would have been A LOT of innocent dead people while the sheep waited for the police to arrive. Even then, Parkland proves that even once the police arrive they may not take action right away. YOU are your own first responder. https://www.wftv.com/news/local/police-investigate-shooting-at-titusville-park/806192101

1 pointsimply put...market is flooded. Prices are cheap to buy new. Obama is gone. Also, the AR platform gets boring after all these years.

1 point....... That's not a Glock. this is the GLOCK THREAD. Basically it's like having an AR Pistol.... something really small but accurate - pseudo SBR without the tax stamp and craziness.

1 pointA new what can be found for less than $400.00? A used PSA Freedom Rifle is maybe worth about $400.00, Good luck trying to find a used LWRC or Noveski AR for $400.00. My grandmother used to tell me "people know the price of everything, and the value of nothing". If all you see is a black rifle when you look at my SPR, that I spec'd and built, and told me it's only worth $400.00 I'd just laugh and walk away. Not even worth arguing about because the person on the other end would have to know the difference between a pos and a quality rig. . A rifle is worth the quality of the components put into it. Just the match grade barrel and Geissele 2 stage fire control group in my SPR are worth well over $400.00. Now, I'm not delusional, I put about $1,700.00 into my SPR but expect that it would sell for around $1,200.00 no problem to a serious buyer, because it has all the right stuff under the hood that would still cost more than that to build or buy today. Besides, it has a proven track record of being a .25 moa rifle. Anyway, it's a mute point cuz I'm ain't never selling that bitch. It was my first build, I hit it out of the park, and she's soooooo sexy. Anyway, the point is, yeah, there are people who panic bought basic ARs at peak prices and some are clueless as to actual market value as time goes on and the political climate changes. But that does not make every AR worth $400.00.

1 pointI am an experienced mechanical engineer and machinist with a full precision shop. I also have a $3,000 3D printer. It is state of the art and works great. There is not a chance a 3D printer can make a useable firearm. I would not waste a minute trying it, being fully aware of 3D print capability. Even a POS harbor freight lathe mill would be 1,000x more efficient. You would have a better chance making award winning wine out of a bag of grass clippings. If there is a bad actor that could print a 3D firearm, he could get a job in today's economy and buy anything. And I mean anything. or 10 anythings hahahaha. I just laugh at the whole thing. I don't even care if it is legislated.

1 pointM9A3 has a G conversion kit from Beretta. http://www.berettausa.com/en-us/beretta-g-lever-kit/

1 pointI put the Vortex Strikefire on it. USPSA, no. There's a specific rule about foregrips. 5.1.10 - Handguns with shoulder stocks and/or fore grips of any kind are prohibited. IDPA it could fall into the "Specialty Division" but you still have to abide by the holster rules, and there are no actual holsters for the Roni. Steel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1 pointAlleghany does not do their G conversion anymore..... the Beretta G kit took so much demand away....Josh stopped doing them Right now Langdon has the Trigger Job in a Bag.... and is the hot ticket these days... mine is on the way...

1 pointThe mag law is in effect, but has a 180 grace period for legally owned 11-15 rounders (as far as possession goes.) The transfer law has a delayed effective date, namely the 1st day of the 3rd month following signing, therefore Oct 1.

1 pointLmao this crap is so exaggerated As if a bunch of 9 year olds will print plastic AR15's with the 3d printers in their backpacks and bring them to school or something... hahaha

1 pointI loved this one so much that I called my wife over, who hates guns, and I tried to show her that are others who are addicted to their collections. She looked at me like a deer in headlights and just walked away! That's okay, I said to myself. I will just continue my practice of waiting until she falls asleep to bring my new acquisitions into the house!

1 pointAm I reading this right? Did the 9th circuit just uphold the lower court injunction that California's large-capacity magazine ban was unconstitutional? Has the temperature in hell hit 31 degrees? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/07/20/liberal-9th-circuit-surprises-with-pro-2nd-amendment-decision-blocking-california-ammo-ban.html

1 pointIf the phrase "port forwarding" doesn't mean anything to you you probably are better off going with a cloud based system. Otherwise be prepared for a lot of frustration.
