2 pointsHey, all. Getting settled up here in Maine. Happy with the house, new truck is running great, and love the job. Gun wise, switching my D/I .45 AR to 20 rounders, and likely putting on a collapsible stock. That will be my truck gun until we switch over to Glocks (then I’ll pick up a CMMG Banshee). Unsure if the replacement or the .45 will get the Fostech Echo Sport that I got a decent deal on, but still need to get an upper for the Echo II lower that I already have. But the big thing is now my FFL-03 is in my Maine address. First thing I got, which I will post pictures another day, is a S&W Brazilian M1937... which met my M1917 fix (goes with my Colt M1917). Haven’t cleaned it, which I’ll probably do tomorrow with the 6” M&P I bought up here in April. But today, got a nice package in the mail... which I just finished cleaning. Picked it up off S&W Forum, which wasn’t in the game plan... as I really have been eyeing up pistols. It is a 1943 Inland M1 Carbine. Far from correct... but was rebuilt by Miltech. Bolt is correct (flat), rear sight and bayonet lug are not. USGI magazine, Union Hardware stamped (ordered a few extras off GunBroker). Looked in the book for that Inland production date, but not anything about arsenal rebuilds. It is a very nice rifle. I figure it is a light carbine, something that my girlfriend could use. Definitely a fun toy to mess around with. It is a neat gun, and considering it was SO BAD that NJ named it an assault weapon... it was a nice pickup for the collection. Moving forward, likely going to be some Iron Curtain guns; Makarov, CZ-52, maybe a Beretta M1951 to mix things up.

2 pointsPence was on FNC with Wallace this past Sunday. Wallace was really pushing the "timing" of the operation. It was like watching CNN or MSNBC. At least three times, Wallace asked questions leading to the suggestion that Trump only did it to boost his popularity and distract from the impeachment shenanigans. I used to like Wallace, until he became a never-trumper. The left will never recognize Trump's many successes as President. Every success is tainted, work in progress is obstructed. It's no wonder info about this op was on a need to know basis. Nancy, Chuckie, and the rest of the seditious assholes can go pound sand.

2 pointsJust a reminder. Get out and vote. This will be a low voter turn out year. Nothing big going on. Please show your support. Get out there and vote. Every vote will be important this year. Vote GOP. Vote republican. I walked many of miles this year in hopewell twsp for votes. Vote for jenn williams. State assembly. Great lady. I ve spent plenty of time with her to know her well. Ive spent time with bob hugin. He fully supports her and me of course. Her brother is a marine. Btw. Vote for me. Hopewell twsp committee. Your vote matters. Vote for the republic.

1 pointFishnut used to be alright for a Yankee. Maybe all that fresh air up in New Hampshire has ruined his brain. Well, actually cornbread in a cast iron skillet r round. Unless you use one of them fancy cast iron cornbread pans, where the bread comes out shaped like ears of corn.

1 pointDon’t tell me you’re going to ruin the sacred institution of bacon TOO?!!

1 pointThere are business decisions and some of which are tough to make, but what Dick's did went beyond being a business decision. It's one thing to not be interested in carrying firearms or firearm related merchandise, but to donate money to legislative campaigns, lobbyist and organizations that overtly attempt to undermine and destroy the 2nd amendment is a conscious, intentional, unforgivable act.

1 pointJust drop the mike right there! One of my childhood memories is my grandma out in Iowa cooking it like that. Somehow bacon fat was used and it was awesome! some things MUST be old school.
-
1 pointYou do you, Zeke! My preferred cornbread method is in a cast iron skillet.

1 pointDesantis makes excellent reasonably priced leather holsters.
-
1 pointSome of them I do - and there is no more finish wear (maybe less) than in a leather holster. Kydex for competition - which means those guns see hundreds of draw & reholster cycles, with negligible wear. I recently had a holster made that is the best of both worlds - leather lined Kydex. Tried this once with an AA holster and it sucked - leather in that one was suede and it hung onto the gun. Major tug to dislodge. Recently got a Garrett Industries holster with a smooth leather lining. Easy draw and positive reholstering. Not cheap, but good things seldom are. https://www.giholsters.com/ Adios, Pizza Bob

1 pointI haven't been to Walmart either. I know the opposition can pick apart the logic of my boycotts, since many retail stores lean left, if not go farther than just a lean. I know that gun owners are usually not a majority, especially in New Jersey. To borrow from a man in history whom I have great respect for: "Here I stand; I can do no other. God help me."

0 pointsBacon fat is used to rub down the inside of the preheated skillet, then the cornbread batter is poured in. Into the oven it goes. My cornbread has a bit of Monterrey Jack cheese, and maybe some jalapeño.... Some things don’t need to be fucked up by technology. And I’m STILL not making you any cornbread....

0 pointsWhile new things have improved our lives, some things should only be done "old school" It's the old school that made it good in the first place. The new school just tries to make more money , save more time, take the easy way out. Old school is the best, everything else is second best.
