3 pointsWonder how many will be arrested for violating social distancing guidelines? Oh wait that’s only for peaceful 2A protests ....
-
2 pointsRead on another site that there's a "protest" planned at 12:45 in Newark today. Anyone going? I was thinking of packing some sandwiches and taking the kids. Maybe there will be some good speeches and reasonable discourse about the state of race relations and the force used by police.

2 pointsDem cities tearing themselves apart. And they keep blaming republicans. Are people really that blind to reality that they don't see what is going on?

2 pointsA priest, a rabbit and a minister walk into a bar. The bartender asked the rabbit what he wants. The rabbit says "I don't know. I'm only here because of autocorrect".

2 pointsI have owned nothing but jeeps. If you've never owned a wrangler and just want something to have fun with you'll be happy. If you're looking for a daily driver or commuter vehicle, get a Kia.

2 pointsRosey - I know you may have told your wife that that is 8 3/8", but we both know that is only 6".
-
2 pointsDitto! Picked mine up just before the pandemic hit, so I haven't had a chance to shoot it much. Looking forward to getting out there with it very soon.

2 pointsHaven't been on here in a while so wasn't really aware of the whole SBF thing. Saw Howell Gun Works post the Mod Mat SBF on Facebook and said oooo that's cool and pulled the trigger. Taking to the range tomorrow to sight in as I just got it kitted out the way I want it. Ended up swapping out a ton of parts and now that I've read through the thread I think I will start another sbf build, either a KAC or HK 416 clone. Swapped sba3 for sba4, stock trigger for G SSA-E, ch for a raptor, fh for a surefire fh that accepts a warden. Slapped on a eotech exps3-0, dbal a2, sf m600df, rail scales, qd sling mount, src3, and a ms4 sling (getting swapped for a slingster or vtac). She got a little heavy kitted out at 8.6lb loaded but it balances pretty well due to the short barrel. Will see how it shoots tomorrow.

1 pointYou do realize getting gun shops opened and outdoor ranges opened was largely the result of anjrpc lawsuits. That is the state nra affiliate organization

1 pointFor me, cleaning guns is a chore. Nevertheless I do strive to clean them after every range trip, within a week or so. With that said, despite it being a pita; when I am done, it’s does feel good to know my firearm(s) is clean and well maintained. Any one firearm may be in the safe for quite a while before it gets shot again. So would not want to have it sitting around dirty for an extended period.

1 pointOk, I have noticed that 3 months of isolation is really wreaking havoc on people's sense of humor

1 pointBought my first handgun from Lou's in Raritan.
-
1 pointTry Lou's on Mainstreet in Raritan. Great prices, knowledgeable service and will order what you want. For semiautos, I have 4 Sigs but later realized that other than their P226, P229 and P220 preferred HK. I love my P226 and P229. HK's are built for military duty and come with LIFETIME warranties. I own a P2000SK and USP 45 Compact. They are great firearms. A new model the P30SK sells for about @600K is a great subcompact. HK upgraded the USP to the HK series but some prefer the USP model just like some like the P2000sk. Sigs are all metal but Heckler Koch are composite firearms. HK invented the composite gun not Glock. Wheel guns are cool too and some have 8 round capacity like SW 627. They don't jam and are reliable if you treat them well. Good luck, enjoy and be safe!!!

1 pointThe short answer is no. You are attesting that your friend is NOT someone who, based on your past experience, should not have access to a firearm TODAY. And by doing so you make no future prediction. If he really is your friend, then be his reference.

1 pointA .22 is always a great choice! I've had a S&W K .22 Masterpiece for decades. A real tack-driver & a great trainer! Mine is the 8 3/8" barrel. It would have been at Old Bridge R&P Club's ladies Day at the Range again this year if not for the Covid closure... Here's Emily Cutts, then 15 in March of last year, at her private range in the Pines. Ruger .22 all tricked-out with TandemKross. She's a sponsored shooter. Her family are big 2A proponents.

1 pointI had the S&W 63. Definitely was not too light. It was like shooting a bb gun. If I were to get another one it would be the S&W 317 kit gun. At least the lightweight would make it somewhat fun to shoot.

1 point06 wrangler here build for mild to medium offroad use but i mostly cruze forest and logging roads. You can get everything you want from quadratec.com and they are right in Westchester PA so shipping is usually next day delivery or you can go and pick it up. Also keep an eye out for their ding and dent sale. Its a tent sale and you can get some really good deals and it's basically a jeep show in the parkinglot. Personally I bought a used stock jeep that had the factory options I wanted and then built it to how I wanted it for my uses. When you buy a jeep someone elce built you have no idea of the quality of components installed or how hard it was beat on. Also I'm a car guy and like to do all the work myself With that said if your just looking for a soft top, lift and wheels it sounds like your looking for a "mall crawler" instead of a "rock crawler" and since most mall crawlers have never been off road or beat on it might be cheaper for you to buy one already built. If you do end up lifting the jeep do your self a favor and spend the money on a quality kit because if you don't you will end up with death wobble and or sever driveline vibrations FYI JEEP stands for Just Empty Every Pocket Welcome to another money pit...

1 pointI have 617 10 shot and gave my wife my 8 shot 63, was a fun gun but too cute lol, and was the only gun my wife would shoot. The 617 is also fun and very accurate, I ping steel more often than not at just under 50 yds and that's the 4" brl. A bit pricy but you get what you pay for.
