Socom 19 Posted December 24, 2012 Marines = smarter, army = dummies and lowest asvab scores, navy = best at least you come out with a job skill.

DevsAdvocate 112 Posted December 24, 2012 Depends on the mission. The Marines are typically a self contained fighting unit, with their own organic air assets, armor, and artillery. However, their numbers are few and can only control/capture a limited number of territory. This is why Marines tend to be very "tip of the spear", you can deploy them rapidly. The Army is a larger force designed to fight for the duration, with seemingly endless assets. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

plode 0 Posted December 24, 2012 Marines = smarter, army = dummies and lowest asvab scores, navy = best at least you come out with a job skill. When I went to take the ASVAB there was a candidate there for Army who was all happy and excited that he scored a 32. I was going for Navy, scored a 94. The only questions that I suspect screwed me up were math ones which I'm terrible at.

Vini 0 Posted December 24, 2012 Just curious, which branch is better and why? Better for what? To join? To get training useful in civilian future? To get training to become a warrior? To get shot? To get money for college? To be most useful while serving your country? To get through service without risk?

johnp 45 Posted December 24, 2012 Marines are the show ponies of the military, prettiest uniforms, they march perfectly inline, and shine their shoes. But out of uniform they are the biggest shitbags I have ever encountered. ARMY

Ray Ray 3,566 Posted December 25, 2012 Personal choice. What ever happened to Don"t speak ill of other branches?......Any way ARMY. bro, there have been arguments on bases on which branch is better for decades. It's good to boast about your branch, and bash to other ones. But in the end, there is a common ground of respect and appreciation.

HavocMan 13 Posted December 25, 2012 ARMY. It's a much larger, more diverse organization with greater opportunities. Want to be a surgeon? Check. A Door Kickin' Face Shooter? Check. Office Clerk? Check. Helicopter pilot? Check. Social Worker? Check. Diesel Mechanic? Check. .....the list is nearly limitless. It is a society within a society...but I suppose you could say that of the entire military.

leahcim 680 Posted December 25, 2012 If I were going to enlist today, I would definitely go with the Marines--I think they are the toughest and most badass. I think that if you want the best odds of staying alive and/or maximizing comfort: USAF or Navy (especially if you can get yourself deployed onboard a carrier). My grandfather was in the Army, my father in the Navy, so I am going to say the USAF. Air Force was formed 18-Sep-1947 and we have not won a war since.
