Sludog 0 Posted March 14, 2013 5 minute back round check? Must be nice. Would the gun shop be able to charge a transfer fee in this situation?

Sludog 0 Posted March 14, 2013 Mr. Miller just pissed 54 years of family business down the drain. Their Facebook page is on fire.

NorthJersey 1 Posted March 14, 2013 If people are such a danger to society that they can't own firearms, maybe they shouldn't be walking the streets. People can't be trusted with something as innocuous as a firearm shouldn't be permitted to mingle with children and the elderly.
SmartAss 11 Posted March 14, 2013 "...deadly weapons dealers..." huh? Why does he use that term? Is that the normal nomenclature for a firearms dealer in Delaware?
NorthJersey 1 Posted March 14, 2013 They say Delaware law requires them to perform background checks "on most sales." Pray tell, what exempts them from the federal requirement to conduct background checks on every modern firearms sale?
1LtCAP 4,264 Posted March 14, 2013 Yea, just left a wall posting on their facebook page: http://www.facebook....er/205050625543 i thanked them. for letting me know who never to spend my money with.

wooly bugger 1 Posted March 14, 2013 This is so over the top that it's setting off my BS radar. Why would a LGS call itself a "deadly weapons dealer?" Three times in the same letter. And why are the last two paragraphs indented and in a different font. And finally, how did "Shawn Thomas" in Terre Haute, IN, get this letter so he could conveniently post it on their FB page? I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. I'm sure we'll know the truth tomorrow morning when they either vehemently deny everything or sheepishly hide. Just when you think the past 2 months can't get any more bizarre, it does.

RUTGERS95 890 Posted March 14, 2013 has anyone been compiling a list of companies that we shouldn't do business with or are we compiling one of companies we should many companies have taken a stand and we need to support them

DSD1026 48 Posted March 14, 2013 deadly weapon dealer eh? i guess that makes Linens n Things or Bed Bath & Beyond "deadly weapon dealers" because they sell big sharp knives that can kill someone? or it makes Sports Authority or Modells "deadly weapons dealers" because they sell baseball bats? idiots.. talk about a total brain fart on these guys' part. They may get a little bit of money for transfers from people that dont know better, but they have literally (as Sludog mentioned earlier) erased 54 years of business with long-standing, true Pro-2A folks. Not that i am buying anything from them anyway, but still... just wow
PK90 3,573 Posted March 14, 2013 The second page is different because it was scanned and resized differently. I believe that Delaware dealers need a separate license to deal in "deadly weapons". CLICK
Sludog 0 Posted March 14, 2013 If this letter was fake, this could be one of the greatest acts of revenge on a business I have seen in a long time. This "Shawn Thomas" is one clever guy if this was all made up.
