rlsbee 1 Posted June 24, 2013 Just saw this announcement. Go get em! NJ GUN GROUPS WARN ASSEMBLY DEMOCRATS ON ILLEGAL VOTE-RIGGING A coalition of Garden State gun owner and sportsmen's groups today served legal notice on Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, warning that impending action on several gun bills would be invalid and subject to legal challenge as a result of illegal vote-rigging in an Assembly committee earlier this month. jackandjill 683 Posted June 24, 2013 Last I heard about "vote rigging" was when I was traveling in a third world country. Ashamed to know that the politicians in my backyard have degraded that level. Why is opposition parties not more vocal on this sort of shenanigans ? Even in third world countries, this sort of thing would be all over news and opposition screaming all over. maintenanceguy 510 Posted June 24, 2013 So are we taking legal action? Please tell me it wasn't an empty threat. If the NJ2AS announces they're raising funds to go forward with a challenge, I think a lot of fed up and angry members will open their wallets.

Duppie 73 Posted June 24, 2013 We need someone to stand up for us! Where is the NRA? Excellent question....I've read that the NRA mainly deals on a national level but will take specific state action only if they decide that there is a possibility of a victory forsaking others where resources and influence might be wasted. I guess New Jersey is one of those forsaken states. Perhaps some of their members would elaborate.

1LtCAP 4,264 Posted June 25, 2013 We need someone to stand up for us! Where is the NRA? this has been my question for months. i could(and probably am) be missing it, but i don't see much of anything done by the nra to help us here......almost as if they've forgotten about us. or written us off as lost..... 71ragtopgoat 23 Posted June 25, 2013 I give an A+ for the effort. But if you think this is going anywhere in NJ your nuts. The politicians appoint the judges and the judges are not beholden to any laws. Even ones based on the constitution. We have Abbott laws(taxation with representation) And again when the state confiscates our money to give to camden ,jc and the like. But we as tax payers get no say. The lautenberg ruling letting him come back and run the first time way late in the game. They overturned a law written in plain English that had decades of president behind it. And we all know the rulings on 2A issues. If they cant find something to back them up they will pull a rabbit out of there a$$ to do it.LOL This is the second most corrupt bacback ward state in the nation behind cali. Even our so called republican Governor is running around hugging Obama and the Boss while appointing closet liberal judges and AG"s. We are nothing more then road kill to them. M1152 713 Posted June 25, 2013 Where is the NRA? they bailed out after the first AWB was about to be repealed by the newly elected Republicans. The Assembly voted for the repeal but Donald DiFrancesco the Senate President at the time refused to put it to the a vote which would have overrode Florio. Someone probably had some dirt on Donny Boy. Anyway that was the last time the NRA was seen in NJ. In my view we might even be better off without the NRA because if folks seen it is a 2 or 3 grassroots organizations we might gain more support. Why is opposition parties not more vocal on this sort of shenanigans ? Even in third world countries, this sort of thing would be all over news and opposition screaming all over. The problem is..."We the people" and by WE I mean people who look directly at the corruption and only care that their own agenda is being followed. They're ok with it as long as the corruption either doesn't directly affect them or if it is in their favor. I hear people complain about taxes then vote for the same corrupt political hacks every election. Because all politicians are corrupt...Except my guy!!!!!!!! Nothing is going to change here. You can't fix stupid...

I've been wondering that for quite some time and have come to TWO conclusions: 1) Threats, blackmail and payoffs. 2) They want the same money and power (Big government) but are playing the "good cop/bad cop" game...However, they're still "cops". I think it's #2 and we are living with the illusion of choice and the illusion of "HOPE" so we won't grow restless and "out of control".. This way, if there is an "alternate" group to vote for, we'll keep calm and orderly. I honestly believe that is the scenario....
